Palma Village Hotel by Greek Pride — Hotel in Kassandra Municipality

I had a lovely stay at Palma Village. The hotel was overall very clean and the staff were extremely kind and welcoming. In my friend’s room the cleaning service came every day, while in mine (which was a bit towards the back) it didn’t seem to receive the same treatment. Still, it was clean and had everything I needed. The buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner was good, maybe a bit repetitive, but nothing surprising. Breakfast was always the same, but I honestly didn’t mind. The location is great – just 5 minutes by car from the beach and the town center. Also the hotel offered a free (or included) shuttle ride to it on a schedule for those without a car. The parking lot was big enough to find a spot at every time. Some of the services listed on booking websites were not actually available. For example, the wellness services mentioned weren’t offered: yoga wasn’t running because there were no participants, and for massages we were told the hotel doesn’t provide them but that we could easily find them in town. It wasn’t a big issue, probably also because we were slightly out of season, but it’s good to know. The “gym” was not really a proper one – just a few machines in the garden, a bit weathered and not in top condition. More for decoration than for real use.

One evening there was loud music coming from somewhere nearby (not the hotel itself), right next to our rooms. We had to stay at the pool until we were exhausted so we could sleep despite the noise. Again, not the hotel’s fault, but I noticed a lady posted a video implying that we had to call the police and worry about other’s sleep quality – we aren’t part of the staff 😭 and honestly I didn’t want to ruin someone’s party.

The only small downside (but nothing major) was that I expected a “different” room based on the pictures online. The photos were clearly taken of other rooms, which is understandable since everyone highlights the best options, but I was just a little bit disappointed. That said, the room was equipped with everything I needed, just a bit “plain.” I didn’t use the pool, but it looked very clean, and the snack bar offered drinks, snacks, salads, and more…just they weren’t included in the all inclusive,we had a silver tier and the gold tier was reserved for a specific agency. So we only had water, soft drinks,wine and some toast included, everything else was with extra payments. Not that I personally minded but it’s good to know.

I visited the hotel with my family for three nights. The hotel was absolutely disappointing The pool was great...and this is the end of the pros of the hotel. They have squeezed in a 2 beds room, 2 more beds and then named it and priced it as a "4 beds room" . The rooms smell bad. The lights and plumbing were not working properly at all. The cleaning staff didn't clean at all the room for the duration of our stay ( The director said sorry but they didn't have a second key) and when we mentioned that to the director,they emptied the bins half an hour before the check out while our daughter was in the room trying to change her clothes.(The cleaning staff didn't speak neither Greek or English) When we were trying to book the room,they told us three different prices and they finally couldn't find the reservation and the deposit. A complete renovation is needed. I could write a lot more faults of hotel Palma...

Πολύ καλή τοποθεσία, καθώς ακόμα και οι πιο απομακρυσμένες παραλίες και χωριά που επισκεφτήκαμε απέχουν μόλις 30 λεπτά από το ξενοδοχείο. Όλα τα υπόλοιπα σημεία ενδιαφέροντος βρίσκονται πολύ κοντά. Όλο το προσωπικό ήταν εξαιρετικά ευγενικό — από τον υπάλληλο στη ρεσεψιόν, έως το προσωπικό στο μπαρ και στο εστιατόριο. Ο δρόμος προς το ξενοδοχείο είναι ασφαλτοστρωμένος και διαθέτει άνετο πάρκινγκ.

Το δίχωρο bungalow ήταν τεράστιο, με έναν χώρο διπλού κρεβατιού με air conditioning και πόρτα, και έναν δεύτερο χώρο με δύο μονά κρεβάτια και τηλεόραση. Παρά την κατανομή, όλος ο χώρος διατηρούσε μια ευχάριστη δροσερότητα, συμπεριλαμβανομένου και του κεντρικού χώρου. Διαθέτει σίτες, καθαριζόταν καθημερινά και παρείχαν καινούργιες πετσέτες και σαπουνάκια. Υπήρχε επίσης απλώστρα και μανταλάκια. Το δικό μας bungalow είχε θέα στην πισίνα.

Ο χώρος της πισίνας ήταν εξαιρετικός — μία πράσινη όαση με άφθονες ξαπλώστρες. Όσον αφορά το all inclusive, το πακέτο μέσω Booking περιλάμβανε μπύρα, κρασί, αναψυκτικά, σνακς (όχι παγωτό) και καφέδες. Στο εστιατόριο υπήρχε μεγάλη ποικιλία φαγητού, αναψυκτικά και καφέδες.

Το πρωινό ήταν πολύ πλούσιο, με λουκάνικα, αυγά (βραστά, τηγανητά, ομελέτα), μπέικον, ψωμί, κριτσίνια, πιτάκια (μπουγατσάκια, τυροπιτάκια, πατατοπιτάκια, μηλοπιτάκια, σπανακόπιτα), τυριά, γαλοπούλα, παστίτσιο, μέλι, μερέντα, μαρμελάδες, φρούτα, δαμάσκηνα, λαχανικά και πολλά άλλα — εκτός από pancakes.

Για το μεσημεριανό και το βραδινό γεύμα, η ποικιλία ήταν καλή, αλλά υπήρχε χώρος βελτίωσης. Σερβίρονται, ανά ημέρα, πιάτα όπως μουσακάς, παστίτσιο, γεμιστά, πίτσα, ψητά λαχανικά, γύρος, κοτόπουλο, κοτομπουκιές, ψάρι, πατάτες φούρνου, ρύζι, μακαρόνια με κιμά ή πέστο, και τηγανητές πατάτες. Υπήρχαν επίσης ωραίες σαλάτες και αρκετές αλοιφές. Για μπύρα ή κρασί κατά τη διάρκεια του γεύματος, έπρεπε να φέρετε από το μπαρ της πισίνας, ενώ τα αναψυκτικά και οι καφέδες ήταν διαθέσιμοι στο εστιατόριο. Τα φαγητά ήταν νόστιμα και τα φρούτα περιλάμβαναν καρπούζι και μήλα. Ωστόσο, τα επιδόρπια περιορίζονταν σε ζελέ και μηλόπιτα.

Η έλλειψη μεγαλύτερης ποικιλίας στα γλυκά και η απουσία πεπονιού (σερβιρόταν μόνο καρπούζι) ήταν κάτι που θα μπορούσε να βελτιωθεί. Επίσης, η κόλα δεν είχε την αναμενόμενη γεύση. Παρατηρήθηκε, επίσης, έλλειψη σε μαχαίρια, ποτήρια και κούπες για καφέ, γεγονός που οδηγούσε σε αναμονή μέχρι να ξαναεμφανιστούν.

Στο μπάνιο, θα βοηθούσε η προσθήκη μιας κουρτίνας για καλύτερη διαχωριστικότητα. Το προσωπικό του εστιατορίου ήταν εξαιρετικά ευγενικό και εξυπηρετικό, αλλά φαινόταν ότι χρειαζόταν περισσότερο προσωπικό, καθώς τα παιδιά που εργάζονταν εκεί...
