This must be by far one of the most unique experiences I have had in terms of combining accommodation, food and hospitality. My family and I decided to book a stay as a present for my father. I will start by saying that the hotel is not like usual hotels/guest houses. It is very authentic, each room carefully decorated and super clean. The room we stayed in as well as the house for my parents had all necessary amenities, even small welcome gifts and details that make you feel special. There are fireplaces inside the rooms which makes your stay even more charming! We stayed for a couple of nights so we were able to enjoy a couple of abundant breakfasts and delicious dinners, all prepared with great care, with natural and local products. The variety of food and drinks options is plenty. In the afternoons, there is a wonderful smell of baked cake that lingers around the lobby bar. The hotel itself is situated in a mountainous area, but close to the nearby village - Agios Dimitrios. The privacy and connection with nature is relaxing, and the estate itself has an entire farm with different fruits, vegetables and herbs, as well as chicken. Everything you will taste there is fresh! I had the chance to get to know most of the members of Ktima Bellou's staff and I am so thankful to have met these people! The level of hospitality and care was beyond my expectations and certainly beyond what I've received at most of the places I have visited in and outside of Greece. Being asked for example "how was you day" or "did you sleep well" or "how is your food" is a sign of great care and politeness that really asks for a genuine answer. My family felt very welcome at Ktima Bellou, and all of us left feeling as more than just guest of this place. I have only very, very heartwarming memories from Ktima Bellou and I wish Afroditi, her family, and everyone else a lot of success and many happy guests. This was the most delicious and welcoming place we stayed in Greece. First of all, the property is incredibly well maintained, with beautiful landscaping and attention to detail. Our home was spotlessly clean and the staff kept it that way every day.

The food deserves a special mention. Mr. and Mrs. Bellow are incredible cooks: every morning my children were delighted with a new type of freshly baked pastry. As for dinner, I haven’t eaten so well in a long time. My only regret is that I didn’t have the opportunity to try everything from Mrs. Bellow’s kitchen in five days.

My son even said he wanted to stay there forever, just to continue enjoying such delicious food every day. I’m honestly surprised this place doesn’t have Michelin stars, considering that every dish is made with local organic ingredients. By the way, be sure to try their honey and jam – they are absolutely amazing.

Mrs. Bellou also baked a wonderful birthday cake for my youngest son and the incredible Aphrodite played piano music at my son's birthday party. The memories and moments of these five days will stay with us for a lifetime and I would love to go back again.
