Xydia, N., Bros S.A. — Hotel in Lamia Municipality

Clean large room with comfy bed and a HUGE bathroom which was also immaculate. Room was on street however experienced no sleep difficulties as there was minimal noise. The breakfast was exceptional and was included in my room rate-which was a bargain, nicely presented, fresh and the lady who served it was lovely too. Another plus for this hotel was they had car parks for at least 2 cars out the front of the hotel, seems that's rare and there was no cost for this either.||Nice little restaurant next door for coffee and some food.||Hard to find amongst the narrow and sometimes one way streets, but you'll find it eventually. The exit from Toll road to Lamia was closed as they were building a new one, so the exit to town is past the town at the moment. Good distance from Athens airport to get there in half a day and stay and travel on further next day. It was only about 3 hours to the Pelion Peninsula from here which is where I was going next, so I arrived there mid morning and not rushed.||||They were concerned that I didn't speak any Greek (at that point anyway) that I would be able to get around-but I managed and I was grateful for their concern. I stayed here in October and November as I traveled through Greece. The hotel is in an excellent central location - steps from cafes, restaurants and leafy plazas (plateias). I had rooms with two twin beds. On one visit I found the bed to be too firm, however upon my return visit I had a bed that was just right. The room itself was spacious with plenty of storage. A fridge was most convenient. The spacious balcony was pleasant. The bathroom was quite large and featured a shower with tub - no flooded bathrooms here! Buffet breakfast was substantial - included yogurt, cakes, breads, cereals, cheeses, breakfast meats, sandwiches, eggs, etc. I found the hotel to be spotless and well cared for. We chose thsi hotel to stay for two nights instead of two others nearby because there is a guaranteed free parking slot. Strangely, we could park our car every time we return to the hotel just 5-20 meters away of it.||Personnel were very polite. We chose not to pay for breakfast, as there are a lot of choices nearby.||Position of the hotel is very good for walking around at the city centre, 400 meters away from the night life pedestrian street.||If we come back to Lamia surely we will choose...
