Art Blue Villas — Hotel in Lefkada Municipality

Our first visit to Lefkada this summer and I found it’s best kept secret - Art Blue Villas. A selection of 6 villas positioned in quiet, well kept olive grove terraces, hidden from each other but with the most exceptional West facing views.||As a family of 4 we stayed in Aledora, which like all the villas is tastefully decorated with a contemporary, beach house feel to the architecture and outdoor spaces. Great consideration and attention to detail to all the sleeping, dining and cooking spaces, compact but well equipped with good quality equipment. Little extras were there on arrival, such as fresh fruit or local delicacies and the wonderful Natasa was soon back with home made lemonde and a cold beer! Each day she replenished the fresh mint and cucumber water jug in the fridge.||The outdoor spaces are thoughtfully furnished with sun loungers, a pool bed and a lovely shaded dining area. Small details such as ambient outdoor and indoor lighting together with fabulous large candle lanterns and simple outdoor decor all add to the feeling of something unique and understatedly special. The West facing position ensures views to rival any venue, with incredible sunsets enjoyed on the terrace or in the pool; being high up there was often a slight breeze which made the warm evenings more comfortable. ||Breakfasts - I am not sure they can be summed up so simply! The menu was extensive and the majority was home made and assembled on the spot, all delivered by Dina and Natasa or team in lovely wicker baskets and ice buckets. You choose the night before and decide on a time (which goes up to late morning so no need to get up too early!). Cleaning was done daily if required and small amounts of washing are also done and returned the same day. The pool was cleaned early every morning - very quietly! Dina gave us restaurant recommendations and a fantastic taxi contact Nikos, who if not available found a replacement. ||The location is up a very steep winding road, so a car or taxi is needed. The local village has a good array of simple stores, coffee shop and restaurants, one of which did collection takeaway. Lefkada town is a short drive away.||Finally the team, Natasa, Dina etc were exceptional, they couldn't do enough to ensure our holiday was the perfect. There are plenty of 5* Revwies which we can confirm in total. ArtBlue is really heavenly - the best villa we ever had - and believe we had a lot ;-)

Here I´d like to point out the actual COVID 19 Situation and definetly would recommend travelling to Lefkada and especial ArtBlue.

Flight: We took a Condor Flight from Frankfurt to Prevezza - we felt safe - on both airports. Prevezza is very small and all safety regulations work fine. As it is only 2h - even the masks during flight were no problem. Flights are not fully booked - so you have extra space.

Lefkada: Very beautiful Island with plenty of nice and very good Tavernas. Lots of different beaches for every taste. Due to Covid19 I think there are not more then 25% of regular capacities booked. That means you don´t have to reserve any Taverna - boat - beach - Scooter….. Just go there and book. Thats not good for the people who need the tourists - but when you go right know, you will find an Island you surely will find never again. We loved and enjoyed it.

ArtBlue: In Germany (Bavaria) we have one of the toughest restrictions due to CORONA. But ArtBlue goes far behind that! Never seen such a clean house. All staff constantly wears masks and gloves and are very very afraid to keep distance. They only meet you outside. When you want the villa to be cleaned, tell them a time when you are not in, then they come and clean All items in the house (towels, hairdryer, bathrobe, really all the kitchen utilities - even everything…..) are disinffected and packed in sealed plastic. We felt much more safer than on any other place in Germany!!!

In the moment they are dealing with cancellation and request the whole day. So even when their Homepage shows full - call them or write an e-mail. If you are able to travel and they have vacancies - don´t think twice - you won´t regret it !!!

This is our second holiday at Art Blue Villas and it never disappoints. Dina, Natasha and the team welcomed us back with open arms. It is the only place I have ever visited where you get a welcome hug from the owner and her team as they are truly happy to see you back again!|We stayed in Iasmos Villa (there are several villas here of different sizes) which is in a wonderful location, at the top of the hill. The villa is only 30 mins from Preveza Aktion airport – and it’s a straightforward, easy journey. Supermarkets, chemists and cafes nearby and Lefkada town own 15 mins drive away.|The property is extremely well presented with amazing views (and sunsets) over the Ionian Sea and also has a beautiful infinity pool. The villa is very clean and has everything you need for your time away. |The beds are super comfy with crisp white sheets. The pillows are lovely and cosy – they also now have a selection of pillows to choose from should you prefer something else, you just have to ask the team! |The bathrooms are modern with lovely smelling olive oil-based toiletries. The white bathroom towels are super soft and fluffy. You also get different towels provided for your pool time, the beach as well as an Eski should you need it while out on trips further away from the villa.|The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. You can select everything on the menu if you wish and it is delivered to you at a time that works for you. Natasha and her team are always smiling and provide tips for what to do around the Island. |We occasionally received complementary things like a special local liquor to try or something they had baked that morning – all very delicious!|We love our time at Art Blue Villas as it is very relaxing. We even managed to fit in a massage with Apollonia (apollonia_iliopoulou) who is amazingly good – ask Dina to organise this for you. |Dina, Natasha and the team make you feel very welcome, like family which we love.
