We really liked our three days in Villa Nefeli.
Enclosed our pros and cons about the stay:
great location, near to Lefkada town and within 1hr reach of the best Lefkada beaches stunning view from the pool/terrace great outdoor area very clean (daily cleaning and towel service) very quiet pleace with no neighbours or car traffic the host was very nice and friendly and helped with everything
Points that we see as room for improvement:
we stayed in the house with four people. Two sleeping on the couch, two in the maisonett upstairs. It was incredibly warm at night. If you run the AC, the people downstairs freeze, the people upstairs almost dont get any cold air. Would suggest to add a second AC for top floor or change location as it is facing directly towards the bed due to the fact that it is energy efficient the ac turns off, as soon as you open or close a door/window. with kids this is happening all the time, so you always need to check if AC is on or any door was left open. Good the the environment but a pain in hot summer months although there is a daily cleaning service it would be great to have a broom or vacuum cleaner to wipe away small things door can be opened from outside so you always have to look the door with the key in order to be sure nobody enters from outside biggest negative for us was the bathroom. it was clean and very stylish but it basically had no door. you can see the washbasin from the kitchen and walk in while somebody is washing the hands or teeth. The bathroom door to the toilet/shower is foldable wood door which gives no privacy while in the shower/toilet. This is a personal thing, but there is no privacy while you are in the bathroom area.
In total the stay was great and besides the points mentioned we would recommend the...

The property is not built or maintained up to a high standards: when we arrived, there were no pillow cases - they were brought later in the evening; then we found out sheets were dirty with yellow stains - took a day to change them; towels occasionally had yellow stains; pool is ok but there are a lot of missing tiles and although maintained every few days, it has black mould around the edges and sludge on the bottom.||The patio is nice, but you can hardly enjoy a meal as there are lots of wasps. There were also bugs inside the house. ||The bathroom is extremely small with dirty walls & it wasn’t cleaned properly during our 2 week stay. The bathroom “door” is very noisy and you are waking up everyone when you close it.||The cleaning staff were not wearing masks although we explicitly asked them to do so - once they have put on a mask under the chin as a scarf…||No privacy - various people come around unannounced (through the pool area) & at random times (to check the umbrella, clean the pool, etc.).||The internet is very patchy - speed is OK but connection was dropping.||There is a construction site next to the house with lots of dust & noise.||||The Ugly||Part of our money went missing from the safe. When we noticed, we immediately called Effie. She contacted the police (her cousin) and said that nothing can be done given there are no signs of B&E and that “the safe is for convenience and not valuables as they are not a bank” ||Then started telling us stories about "other unreasonable" tourists that wanted a refund because the management double booked...
Read moreOur expectations were exceeded by this beautiful villa tucked away in the countryside with amazing views of the sea from the gorgeous infinity pool. On arrival we were greeted by the owner Effie who provided us with lots of local information to insure a comfortable and relaxing stay. The daily room service was unexpected but much appreciated allowing us to completely relax. Tsoukalades (the closest village) is a 5 minute drive and provides two good restaurants and a couple of nice bakeries. The chocolate croissants and mini ice creams are a must! A further 15 minutes by car is Lefkada town with loads of bars, resturaunts and a nice centre to walk through. Overall really impressed with the beautiful Greek island and the friendliness of the locals. Highly...
