The resort has been a disappointing experience overall, despite its potential. One of the major issues lies in its poor management, particularly when it comes to customer care. The staff seems inattentive and fails to provide the necessary level of service expected in a resort of this caliber.
One of the most bothersome aspects is the resort's tendency to host private parties in the common areas, thus resort guests are harassed with loud music till late at night. In my case, all the evenings were dedicated to private parties hosted by Eurobank, with no consideration for the rest of the resort guests. It is evident that little consideration is given to the other guests who are seeking a peaceful and relaxing stay.
Moreover, several amenities and facilities in the resort are in dire need of renovation. The tennis court, mini-golf area, and fitness room all show signs of neglect and lack proper maintenance. Even the sea-view pool, which initially appears inviting, is marred by broken umbrellas that need replacement. Such negligence reflects a lack of commitment to providing a high-quality experience to guests.
When it comes to dining options, the breakfast buffet is decent, but there are glaring shortcomings. Firstly, it is unacceptable for a five-star resort to charge extra for coffee, which should be included as a basic amenity. Furthermore, the lack of sugar-free options and limited choices for vegans is disappointing, considering the growing demand for these dietary preferences.
Moving on to the accommodation, my room was far from satisfactory. The handle to adjust the shower water was completely broken, rendering it impossible to regulate the temperature effectively. This lack of attention to detail is indicative of a lackadaisical approach to maintenance. Additionally, a poorly adjusted automatic watering system caused water from the terrace above to leak onto my own terrace. This not only soaked my swimsuits and clothes placed on the terrace but also rendered the terrace unusable. It is worth noting that the water used for irrigation is recycled water from the resort. Lastly, the resort's indifference towards guest feedback is disheartening. Upon checking out, there was no inquiry about the quality of my stay or any effort to address the issues I encountered. This lack of concern further reinforces the impression that customer satisfaction is not a priority for the management.
It is clear that significant improvements in management and attention to detail are necessary to bring this resort up to the standards expected of a five-star...
Read moreI am staying at Ramada by Wyndham Loutraki Poseidon Resort with my family right now and since my impressions are still fresh, I would like to share them with all of you and hope it could help you decide to come here. Before I start with each aspect individually, I'd like to say a couple of words about hotel and its service in general. Basically everything here is at a very high level and the hotel met all of our expectations, even more than that and we had an opportunity to travel a lot and stay at various types and ranges of hotels so I find myself competent to talk about that. |I'd like to start talking about beach and the sea. There are several different beaches and all of them offer good hygiene, comfortable sunbeds and big parasols and the water is so clean, you can basically drink it! As someone coming from the country without seaside, I find it really important and would recommend skipping the pool and rather go swimming in the sea! Speaking of pool, don't think we didn't swim there, based on my previous sentence! Whenever it was too hot or we just wanted to enjoy warm salty water in the sun, we took a swim in the pool and enjoyed it. |Since we all know food is really important in any hotel we visit, I'd like to comment it out as well. There were many different types of dish in the main restaurant, including both Greek specialties and classical European dishes, both salty and sweet and for everyone's taste, I'd say! It was fresh, warm and really cleanly served! |As for the staff, regarding waiters in the bars and restaurant, people that work by the beach and the pool, room cleaning staff, animators and receptionists (if I forgot someone, sorry, I didn't mean to)|we've had much experience with different people among staff in hotels we stayed at and this one may be one of the friendliest and always ready to help you, talk to you nicely and serve you with smile on their faces all the time every day!|And for the end, I must say we were lucky to be here in very warm period of year, so we had an opportunity to enjoy sun and beautiful nature in always pleasant country such as Greece!|P.S. We had an opportunity to meet Guest Service Manager that was coincidentally from Serbia - Dejan and I'd like to thank him once more for his friendliness and help whenever we needed it! |When I sum all of our impressions, I would 100% recommend this hotel to everyone who wants to relax, enjoy their time swimming in the clean water and eat various delicious food. You certainly won't make any mistake by coming here! Big greetings...
Read moreDo not stay here if you want a restful and relaxing holiday. The whole resort looks like it is trapped in a time warp or 1980s communist Cuba. The pool has way too much salt in it and the beaches are dirty. The buffet looks like a cruise ship from 1984, with no outdoor seating or views of the water. And the grounds are not maintained, a weed wacker is needed as is a pressure washer for all the grime. ||||But that’s not even the worst part…When checking in, we asked for a quiet room, as we had just got off a night flight. We have two young children and were all exhausted. When going to bed, we could hear the speeches and music from a wedding the resort was hosting. We called to ask when they would stop and the reception said 2:00 am. So if you are staying here and there also happens to be a wedding, good luck sleeping. We weren’t even right beside the wedding and we could hear everything. I know what the brides name was and their favourite thing to do together, as well as the words to several Greek dance songs. The reception was not sympathetic and offered no solution. The next day when checking out, the receptionist said the manager would be in touch to make things right. And this is where things get really bad…as if they weren’t bad enough. The manager accused me of making it up, despite the fact that he had a time stamped email and phone call to the front desk when this was occurring and the receptionist admitted it was very loud. He said we weren’t even close enough to be able to hear and were making fraudulent claims. He also said that if I wrote a review of my experience, he would report me to ‘the authorities.’ ||||This hotel is a Wyndham hotel, but is a franchise and Wyndham takes no responsibility for their behaviour. I would stay away at all costs, you cannot take the chance that something will go wrong and the management will take no accountability whatsoever. This is a mediocre hotel, at best, with the worst customer service I have ever...
