Iliahtida apartments is owned by ex-sea captain John Dermoniotis who I can only class as an exceptionally kind and caring host. His very large and many apartments are indeed carefully cared for and well maintained on an annual basis. I always admire cleanliness wherever I stay and I must say that this deserves five stars without doubt. There are apartments ' with ' balcony and sea view and those without , the without in general are for business persons attending seminars and usually for weekends or one or two nights. The ' with ' are for the regular tourists like you and I and have a magnificent view over the Evian Straits watching the crystal clear blue turquoise waters flow by on the way to the Aegean sea. Rovies during summer can be quite busy as several foreigners visit throughout the June, July and August period, although the premises are open all year round . Across the way from the front of the apartments our host has combined a small round central bar standing on fresh green grass and surrounded by luscious fauna and greenery . A small pool is at the end of the garden and it is a sheer delight to have a quite poolside drink late in the evening , full moon above you and peaceful music , barely audible and yet still so , tingling in your ears relaxing you away through the lateness of the evening.||Throughout the village are several amenities and facilities suited to all types of tourists, after all we all do have different needs. The supermarket is close by , The pharmacy is in the central square among many other small shops and all alongside quaint Greek taverns where you may dine away on the freshest of fish , best steaks or even find organically home grown super fresh vegetables should you wish.||Rovies beach is endless and probably one of the very best in all of Evia. Fishing boats line the sea front and trees and greenery provide wonderful shade even onto the beach itself. There is nothing like sneaking away from your over filling Greek meal with a bottle of the local brewed wine in your hand and sitting on the sea shore with the lap of the water tapping your toes while you sip away on that potent brew !||John Dermoniotis deserves a round of applause for all the efforts he has made to make his customers feel very much at home and at ease. Take a look next time you are around the North Evia area at Iliahtida and I do believe you will be quite surprised at the value for money in comparison to most other places. Nice colorful and bright rooms, fair prices. Our bathroom is minimal but complete. Weak WiFi signal with random disconnections on small devices. Quite nice view (depends on room location).
