This is our second time at Arsenis Guesthouse as we love the view of pristine hills and olive groves that the rooms offer. The location is also perfect as it is just off the East Road that leads up to the monasteries which makes the place both perfectly well-connected and quiet at the same time. For information, this is right on the other side from where the majority of the hostels/hotels are located which is a huge plus for me as it keeps me away from the noise and that touristy feel..||||The rooms, though plain, are very clean and towels are changed daily. Each room has its own ample balcony with a table and two chairs. There is a good wi-fi connection that is freely available. I could take a small bottle of mineral water from the fridge each day at no charge. They offer continental breakfast (EUR 7) and dinner (EUR 12). The dinner, from what I understood, consists of barbecue meat with fries and a Greek salad cooked on the spot by the hosts. There are plenty of tables both indoors and outside on the large verandah with a magnificent view of the hills and olive groves. The air there feels crystal clean.||||The hosts are members of the Arsenis family: two sons (Kostas and Panos), mother (Vasiliki) and father. Kostas is basically in charge and his Mum helps with the cooking. Kostas is quite a character as has been testified by some of the reviewers. You can see that he loves the place that they have created and wishes that many people from all over the world come and stay with them. He can come across as clumsy in his manners but I had no problem with it as I even found his idiosyncrasies quite amusing. After you take a room he always asks if you are also having your dinner with them. We chose not to and instead went to town to our favourite restaurant/tavern, Archontariki (13 Trikalon Riga Fereou Square, Kalambaka).||||There is also a lovely orchard on the property with cherry, fig, crimson and quince trees. Kostas gave me a jar of quince jam as a gift before...

The hosts were not just welcoming; they were the epitome of Greek hospitality. Their warmth made us feel like part of their family, instantly turning our stay into something far more than just a place to park our camper.
The location of Guesthouse Arsenis in Meteora is simply breathtaking, offering views that postcards can only dream of capturing. But what sets this guesthouse apart is undoubtedly the personal touch of the hosts. They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, from providing us with local tips to ensuring our camper was parked in a spot that felt both secure and scenic.
The facilities were clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped for guests who travel in campers. The peaceful environment, combined with the genuine care of the hosts, made every morning and evening a delight. We particularly appreciated the personal recommendations for exploring the monasteries and hidden gems of Meteora, which enriched our experience immensely.

Read moreSet in the hills, a stones throw away from the monasteries of Meteora, Arsenis Guesthouse is a clean simple hotel away from the busy towns full of tour buses. We easily made reservations via email directly with Kosta and he and his family were there to greet us with water, figs, and treats upon our arrival. The rooms are spacious complete with a mini fridge and a lovely balcony overlooking the valley in the mountains. The bathroom is a decent size. However, the showers are typical Greek small. They provide a simple breakfast and home cooked dinner for an additional charge and have a fridge stocked full of soft drinks, water, wines and beers in the dining area for purchase. There’s a lovely large patio to sit to have an evening drink. We have traveled to many places all over the world, Kostas and his family are truly one of the most genuine, hospitable people that we’ve come across in our travels. Dont not hesitate to book...
