Awfullll experience. Rent anywhere else. Not worth it. Just a waste of money.
Shower water was yellow Breakfast-what breakfast! Extremely poor!! some jam from supermarkets an egg and bread! The oldest owner lady unbelievably rude and peasant just to get into your nerves. Has no idea of manners, politeness or hospitality as a matter of fact.
Waiting at the gate at 2pm to leave our bags at the storage room without checking in and go. The lady informed us then that check is at 4 so we should leave!!!! she wouldn’t let us in! Had to wait for an amount of time to let us in and after having an argument she was trying to justify her behaviour of having right of refusing to let us in and drop our bags.
The other lady owner very helpful and polite same as staff
No one informed about not having any cleaning service. You had to clean your own room, change the sheets, towels , take out the rubbish
Never had been offered the welcome drink as they say in their website or other services to be exact that they advertise!!!
Route to the place was surprising terrifying which no one bothered to mention. Thankfully we went with a rented car otherwise we would be unable to drive up that road with our car.
Luxury not even close. I’m not quite sure if they aware of the term.
Without the view not even worth it. You just pay for the Saronic view, which you can perfectly rent someplace else and just go up there once...
Read moreThe hotelier is dishonest, save yourself the awful ordeal she’s put me through by staying somewhere else. I booked a 4 night stay and was met at the port by the hotelier who announced that the hotel was closed owing to covid so she was going to take me to a different hotel (one which I am familiar and it’s not of a standard where I’d be willing to stay). The hotelier then turned nasty and said I had no choice but to go to the (horrible) hotel of her choice, and threatened that unless I went there she would not refund me a penny and would tell the booking company, Expedia, that I had failed to turn up!||||She then confessed that she’d been lying earlier about the covid: that there was in fact no covid but the hotel was too quiet for her to want to keep it open for me.|||| Since I got home I tried to make a claim for a refund through Expedia which they say they can’t pay because the hotelier has continued to claim that I failed to turn up (notwithstanding that I took a photo of the hotelier with me at the port thinking that would foil her dishonest plan, but even that hasn’t stopped her blatant lying.) She’s stolen almost £300 of my money. A true disgrace to the...
Read moreWe have stayed at Marini five times now. The place is in the highlands above the bustle of the tourists, family owned and operated. It is like a bed and breakfast in the way it feels and in terms of your treatment. Hotels in Greece can be very spartan in decor. Marini is more European, modern and comfortable. We find the family very friendly and attentive to our needs. We are foreign to Greece yet they treat us like family.||||The pool is huge and never crowded. The food is homemade and delicious. Breakfast is a small but fresh buffet with enough variety that allows us to stay for a week and not grow tired of the choices. The view of the water and sunset is amazing despite being up the hill and not on the beach.||||The ride to the port takes 20 minutes. It took going up the hill twice before getting the feel of it. I was glad the taxi driver knew the location but have since driven rental cars when staying. ||||We are Americans who have traveled everywhere and can afford to stay in any level of hotel. We enjoy the Marini for quiet getaways and will...
