Been there with a group of families, we rented the entire Villa Complex, consisting in 5 houses.||Advantages:||- the complex is placed in a calm natural area, with no close neighbours, so it is a good place for private events or for dolphin/bird watching;||- large yard, enough place for children to play outside;||- close to the sea, nice small private beach nearby;||- nice shared pool (although it needs maintenance work, tiles are missing) ;||- air conditioning;||- nice view to the sea and mountains from the pool.||Well, we would not come back here because the disadvantages of the place affected us.||So, the place could be heavenly if there weren't the following :||- The wi-fi is very poor, often not working.||- the presentation of the houses on the internet is not fair.||Firstly, be aware that the "lower floor " is actually " BASEMENT" with poor lighting and a strong smell of cat/dog urine and mold. In one of the houses, one of the rooms could not be opened as a flood was ongoing during all our stay.||Secondly, we were not informed about the presence of 3 dogs on the plot. The dogs were nice and friendly, that is not a problem, but we didn't like that they were sleeping on the sunbeds or on every pillow/table/textile they found outside. Also, there may be allergic people to dog hair, so it is not fair to not specify in the description of the house that dogs live there permanently. One night, we left glasses, food and beer outside and, as we didn't know how to behave with dogs on the property, we found everything broken in the morning, as the dogs jumped on the table and broke the glasses.||The owner asked us to pay the damage caused by HER own dogs, of which we weren't acknowledged in prior. WE WOULD NOT HAVE RENT THE PLACE IF WE KNEW DOGS WERE EVERYWHERE ON THE SITE. This is not because we don't love animals, but because we simply don't know how to handle the situation when dogs are around...||The third mispresentation is represented by the "small upper floors private pools". THOSE ARE NOT POOLS. THOSE ARE SMALL TUBS (aprox. 60 cm width and 60 cm depth). They are a in a bad condition, need repairing works.||The stairs in the houses are narrow and slippery. An accident could be fatal. Also, there are no banisters, which is an architectural fault.||Wasps and lizzards are everywhere. We even found lizzards in beds during the night.||Most of all, the attitude of the owner, NIKI FOUNDA, was unpleasant, aspect which makes us say we don't want to go there anymore.||As we rented the whole complex, we did not expect to be "inspected" everyday. We did not ask for cleaning. Still, Mrs Niki Founda told us someone would come for cleaning and we appreciated this. Afterwards we saw not only the cleaning lady there, but the owner and her mother too. Mrs Founda accused us, during our stay, that we left too much garbage on the plot. It is not okay to have a "teacher attitude" to tourists during their stay. She came, she inspected, she violated our privacy, she let her dogs do a great mess on the plot and then she told us our behaivour was not respectful...||She accused us of having destroyed one of the beds.It is not True. We found the bed broken from the first day we came, we didn't destroy it.||Her mother invited us to wash clothes and told us washing was for free, but in our last stay day Mrs Niki Founda asked 30 euro for using her washing machine. Also, she asked 20 euro for the glasses which were broken by HER dogs. Very cheap attitude...||She left all Doors opened, so we assumed all spaces were at our disposal. We took some beer and coffee from the bar. Also, we took an electricity cable from an opened room. Then, she accused us of violating her private space. As long as you leave the doors opened and you don't mention that some spaces are private, how can you accuse people of entering and taking things with no permission? You could have charged us for that beer and coffee, without all that...
Read moreAfter a full-on week of sailing round the Ionian we wanted somewhere a bit special to recoup and relax. This place met every need. A truly boutique style self-catering accommodation. Our studio apartment was enormous with a king size bed, large lounge area, bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Manna Gea (I believe it means Mother Earth) is in a very rural location, right on the shore of the inland sea (Gulf of Amvrakikos), with a narrow strip of pebble beach with sun loungers on a small wooden terrace. ||Although it’s only 10 minutes from the main town of Vonitsa and 5 minutes to the quaint local village of Paliampela you really need a car to get around, especially if you want to eat out at night – there are no taverns in walking distance. We tended to explore the towns and beaches of the area during the day, having lunch out, then cooking back at base, either on the BBQ or in the fully equipped kitchen. Service was excellent, with regular towel and linen changes and cleaning. Niki, the owner manager, and Maria - the barmaid, cook, gardener and general factotum - are always on hand to help and Maria’s knowledge of the local area and things to do is a great benefit. There are also two delightful puppies, Cero and Bobo to entertain you ||As a base for exploring the region we don’t think you could beat this place. ||Will we go back – undoubtedly. ||Do we want to keep this place secret for ourselves – of course, but that would be a disservice to Niki. ||We wish her and her staff the very best for the future.||Anne and...
Read moreRecently stayed at the complex just outside of Vonitsa for 7 days as a birthday celebration, every aspect of the holiday exceeded all of our small groups expectations, Nicky, Maria and Tatianna who all worked on the site were incredibly helpful and attentive, always going above and beyond to help, our first night we arrived on sunday and had difficulty arranging food for the evening, the host was able to find a reasonably priced, good quality fast food restaurant and had it delivered to us within an hour. The accommodation itself was flawless and spotless, modern and sleek furnishings with air conditioning throughout, comfy beds, a private pool in the upstairs bedroom and everything you need for cooking throughout the week. The garden and outdoor space was so well thought out with an outdoor bar, BBQ area, small gym, swimming equipment, hammocks and an area for young children as well of plenty of areas to relax and soak in the sun and views. At the bottom of the garden is a remote beach with beautiful views, sun lounges and shade which is where we spent a majority of our time! We were also helped with great places to eat and travel to and from the local town. All in all the holiday went incredibly smoothly and we all have only positive memories to take away. I urge anyone to stay if they are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacay, i personally hope to return! Thanks to the lovely team that worked to keep us all happy and the villa looking...
