Onar Andros — Hotel in Municipality of Andros

Thank you, Onar Team, for this lifetime experience! We spent 6 nights at Sunrise Villa with a pool. It was great to be in this nature-close resort, far from crowded areas. You can hear only sheep and goats during the evening. The location is super remote, and every guest gets to know each other after a few days. The staff is very kind and helpful with any issue. The restaurant is very clean with fast service. Hotel is having a small pool bar with view, if you would not go to the beach.

Pros: Remote location, one of the cleanest beaches in Greece, not overcrowded by tourists, no one is on the beach before 8.00 am, so you can even swim naked. Traditional stone buildings are lovely but modern at the same time!

Cons: The garden needs more focus, and to get to Hillside Villas, you need to do a little hill climb (but staff can always help with golf cars). Wifi should be included; there are many good options available. The restaurant could offer more Greek cuisines.

OVERALL: This is a very unique remote hotel, run by a very kind staff, and owned by a family who welcomes you like friends, offering the best Greek hospitality. If you are tired of crowded hotels and love nature, you should try...

What a special place to stay. From the minute you arrive (after a rocky road) to the day you leave, the experience is tremendous. The staff is really incredible, everybody makes you feel at home. The kids can play and wander without any fear. The food was actually really amazing. They have a menu and daily specials wich allows you to have different things everyday. The breakfast is great as well. We loved everything about Onar, thank you so much Teo, Steven and the rest of the team. |And what about Achla Beach! A place that is out of this world! Perfect setting, unspoiled, etc. |We usually never go back to the same hotel twice, but we might very well make an exception for Onar. We had waited 10 years to come and it was worth the wait!...

A true paradise

My partner and I stayed at Onar at the end of May and had an incredible time. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a luxurious, relaxing time set within beautiful nature.

Onar is a true paradise. Once you’ve found your way there, you don’t want to leave. The accommodation is beautiful and luxurious in a simple, down-to-earth way that makes you instantly feel relaxed.

The surrounding landscape and nature is breathtaking.

The service from the family-run team and their wonderful staff is exceptional: nothing is too much trouble and everyone is made to feel very welcome.

There is plenty to see and do around, but it is equally enjoyable simply to stay within Onar and relax.
