We have just returned from our 11 night stay at Villa Aladanos. This is our second stay at this lovely villa which is set in the tranquility of Maheri village. As a family of 4 we have found it has the best a holiday could offer. A short journey from the local beach and amenities of Kalyves & Almaryda and within easy reach to the town of Chania (worth a visit/especially the Old Town). The local Taverna is a must of you want local Greek home cooking, lovely food and very reasonably priced. The Villa is very clean, equipped to a high standard, it's comfortable and looks amazing inside and out. Katerina, the host, is lovely. Quick to answer any questions and nothing is too much bother. We have just returned from a fantastic stay at Villa Aladanos (Olga's Filoxenia). The villa is in a stunning mountainside location with a view of the sea in the distance. The villa itself is well equipped, tastefully decorated, comfortably furnished and well maintained. We spent a lot of time at the beach in nearby Kalyves but always enjoyed returning to use the pool and outdoor terraces to cool off and relax in the afternoon/evening. We also enjoyed eating at the local taverna which is literally a one minute walk away. The villas owner communicated well with us during our stay and was extremely helpful. Beautiful villa (Villa Aladanos), in a quiet, traditional village. Plenty of inside space, very well looked after, lovely balcony areas, pool and hot tub - what is not to like?! Great base to access Chania (approx 30mins away) and the coast, while not being stuck in a busy hub. A car is a must if staying here, but found driving around very straight forward. Gloriously peaceful, stunning views, and the host (Katerina) was so welcoming and super responsive to any queries. Could not have had a better break. We were there with two children aged 6 and 9, and it suited our needs perfectly. We would love to have the opportunity to return...
