Villa Galanis — Hotel in Municipality of Apokoronas

Our stay at Villa Galanis (Villa Amygdalia) in Kalamitsi Amigdali was absolutely perfect. It was the ideal home base for our Cretan adventure. From the very beginning, our host, Chrisoula, was simply wonderful. Her communication was fast, clear, and efficient, making the arrival process incredibly smooth (we arrived late night). The location is a strategic dream for exploring Crete. Tucked away in a peaceful village, it offers a truly authentic experience, yet it's just a short drive from major sights and the national road. We found it incredibly easy to visit Lake Kournas, Chania, Rethymno, Heraklion (Knossos Palace) The villa itself is fantastic. The absolute highlight is the pool area, which boasts a breathtaking panoramic view of the surrounding hills and olive groves. It was the perfect place to start the morning with a coffee or unwind after a day of sightseeing. The apartment was spotlessly clean and impressively well-equipped. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, and having both a dishwasher and a washing machine was a huge convenience that made our stay feel effortless and truly relaxing. Die Villa Giasemi ist ihre fünf Sterne wert. Die Villa ist sehr sauber, die Bäder sind modern. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet (ausreichend Geschirr, Toaster, Kontaktgrill, Kaffeemaschine etc.). Zudem sind Olivenöl, Salz und Pfeffer, Kaffekapseln für den ersten Kaffee vorhanden. Gleiches gilt für Spülmittel, Spülmaschinentabs, Lappen und Waschmittel für die Waschmaschine. Der Pool ist großartig - recht tief, was für uns sehr angenehm war. Nicht zu viel Chlor und trotzdem sehr sauber. Der Blick auf die Berge ist umwerfend. Die Villa verfügt über die mit Abstand bequemsten Sonnenliegen und Schirme, die zumindest so wirken, als würden sie viel UV-Strahlung abhalten. Chrisoula war eine tolle Gastgeberin. Sie reagierte schnell auf Nachrichten und ermöglichte uns einen früheren Check-in. Zudem gab es einen Willkommenssnack (Käse, Wein, Oliven, Tomaten) und ein Abschiedsgeschenk (Gebäck mit Honig sowie Olivenöl und Seife). Bei uns war es sehr ruhig - unsere Nachbarn...

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche in der Villa Giasemi. Wir fanden es sogar noch schöner als auf den Bildern. Der Ausblick ist wirklich unbezahlbar, die Villa ist sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet.
