Very disappointing experience – we would not return, If I can I would give 0 strars
We had a very disappointing stay at this hotel, despite our high hopes and careful planning. Unfortunately, several serious issues occurred during our stay that made us feel both uncomfortable and unwelcome.
We did not receive the room we booked and paid for on the first night. Instead, we were given a room with bunk beds, which was completely different from what we reserved. It was extremely important for us to have a single large bed, and we even called ahead to confirm this. Still, the first night we were forced to sleep in a room that did not meet this basic requirement. The next day, the staff moved our belongings from one room to another without our permission or any prior notice. This was a complete invasion of our privacy. Some of our items were misplaced, and our belongings were carelessly thrown around. For example, a full water bottle was placed on top of a speaker, which could have caused damage. When we returned, we were not informed that our things had been moved. As a result, we accidentally entered a room that was already occupied by other guests, causing an uncomfortable and confusing situation. The staff was not just unhelpful, but at times rude and unfriendly. We felt treated with indifference and even disdain whenever we asked for assistance or clarification. On the third day, we were suddenly asked to pay the accommodation tax, without any prior notice or documentation—we received no receipt, invoice, or even a written confirmation of this payment. Housekeeping did not clean our room during our stay, and towels were not changed at all. Despite all of these serious issues, we received no compensation or even a sincere apology from the hotel. Instead, we were met with unpleasant looks for expressing our dissatisfaction. Overall, we felt deeply disappointed and disrespected. We do not recommend this place to others, and we certainly will not...
Read moreWe spent 8 days at Sirena Beach Hotel. Our vacation started with a welcome drink made by Nikoleta who took care of our check in. From that moment we've never seen her or anyone else for that matter in a bad mood. The staff is always smiling and ready to answer any questions you have. Every time we got back from dinner or beach Nikoleta had been asking us how our day was, do we need anything etc. Gouvia beach is literally two minutes away from the hotel, or if you are interested in visiting Dassia, Ipsos or Kontokali for their amazing beaches - bus station is five minutes away from the hotel. If you are looking for a place to have your dinner literally every worth mentioning restaurant is 7 minutes away max. (We strongly recommend Mythos restaurant) Breakfast is served between 07.30 - 10.30 and you can always have Greek salad, Greek yogurt, watermelon, cereals, coffee, boiled eggs, fresh croissant/toast etc. It is suitable for vegetarians and vegans (I was fasting couple of days and was eating only vegan). You won't be staying hungry that is for sure. Rooms are cleaned on a daily basis, cleaning staff always asks you when do you want your room cleaned based on whether you get out of your room later or earlier in the morning.
Minor issues we had were - small bathroom so it is practically impossible not to shower the whole bathroom while in the shower; rooms are a bit small so we recommend that you use cabinet to sort your stuff and unpack your suitcase; wi-fi has great speed and it covers the whole hotel and garden but has some interruptions during night hours and they usually last between two and three minutes but they occur once in a while so it is not actually something to be stressing about.
To conclude we felt very welcome, the whole staff and the atmosphere really represent hospitality and mood of Greek and Balkan people. Pame Ellada, geia sas apo...
