The room view was perfect, peaceful and the surroundings were quiet and relaxing. The location of the hotel is relatively remote from the central points, which means that you only get around by car. There is a very beautiful beach that is accessed via a passable but relatively tiring path and you ideally need beach shoes to enter. The breakfast was delicious with homemade food and Mrs. Stavroula was welcoming and kind. There were some things that made us unhappy during our vacation. The hotel accepts animals upon request and we had informed that we have a 1.5 kg Chihuahua toy dog. Our arrival was unpleasant and awkward, because, as soon as we arrived tired from the journey, the hotelier pointed out to us, with relative rudeness (!), that it is forbidden for the dog to be on the sheets, because if he saw even one strand of hair of the dog he would be forced to throw the sheets away (?!) in case the next visitor gets an allergy. Then added, with unjustified suspicion (!), that we shall not think we could fool him because he would understand. I wondered why that would be an issue, since when you clean the room for the next guest you have to leave no traces of the previous one. This behavior bothered me because when you say that you accept animals (pet friendly), you are aware of the possibility that the animal might leave some hair. Even if we do not let the dog on the bed, dog hair is also transferred from our clothes. You could just not accept pets if you are incapable of cleaning the sheets.. After all this reproval, I expected that in terms of cleanliness they would be very consistent. However, upon entering the room I found a face towel with a large brown stain (guess he did not throw that one away..), which I returned, and the curtains were full of dust. While we were there we had allergies and were sneezing all the time. Although it is stated that there is daily housekeeping, both of our rooms had been cleaned only once during the 4 days we stayed. Rooms in general definitely need a renovation (e.g. screens, knobs, painting of the walls, awning) and external lighting at night since when we came back late from our night out, the lights were turned off and we needed a flashlight to walk to our room. In the room-fridge there were 2 bottles of water (500ml) for which there was no information there was extra charge. When we checked out they informed us that we owe 30 euros, 24 euros for taxes and 6 euros for the 6 bottles of water. When we went to pay by card, the receptionist, that was insolent and had bad manners, refused because she said she didn't know how to use the POS (?!) and she was hesitant about bank transfer...Therefore, we had to pay in cash, which luckily we happened to have on us, as the nearest ATM is 60 km away (come and go to Areopolis)! She informed us that she will send us the receipt via email, which included only the 24 euros for the taxes.. The only pleasant things of the whole experience, were the kindness of Mrs. Stavroula at breakfast and the wonderful view and sea. This evaluation is made because the customer and hotel services are not at all consistent with a...

I rarely write negative reviews for a hotel but I was really surprised by what happened at this property. On the 11th of July I called the property to inquire about the layout of the rooms but was not ready to book over the phone. Later on that evening I made a reservation for two nights 12 -14 of July.We arrived only to find out that the reception was closed. We assumed that the receptionist was busy on another role and would return. We waited outside -in a heatwave- time went by and after multiple calls the owner called us back telling us that we had no reservation and anyway we had to wait as he was in Aeropolis 40min. away. He was annoyed and hang up on us when I said well I do not wish to stay at a closed hotel and I want a refund. He agreed on the refund. We left and went to another hotel where I realized that i had forgot my carry on luggage at Porto Mani and drove back (45 min.) to get it. During that time the owner never bothered to call and say that he had found it. When we arrived he was at his desk and we went in to ask if he had completed the refund. He said " you have to do it you have to call Expedia USA". I said "no you have to do it. We came here to find a closed hotel and you agreed to refund us". " He responded "No i just called them..you have to do it" I insisted "well call again so we can do it together then." Of course this was a lie..he had called the central reservations office in Greece to complain about us and taking his side of the story they had told him that I should then deal with Expedia and cancel" I asked to speak directly to them and of course when they heard what had happened they refunded us instantly. All this would have just been easy to resolve had he apologized and really admit that he was not checking his reservations. Instead he blamed us for having called him and not book on the phone with him. As he said " this gives him the right to shut down the hotel". So because I had called..any of you who may have booked this hotel....would have found it closed!!! Not only his behavior was not simply unprofessional but unethical. He called the reservations department to ensure it would be challenging for us to get our refund and would have to spent a day with Expedia to do so. Further knowing that I had left my luggage he made no courtesy call. Finally in this heatwave he could have offered a glass of water.... Just to add that i am Greek American so there was no...

😊: Everything was perfect! The proximity to the sea allows for amazing sunsets and you fall asleep hearing the waves and the wind. Breakfast was hand-made every day, Miss Voúla and Mr Angelos were the personification of hospitality! The location more generally was key, close to cape Tainaron but far from any city noise, and in the middle of the wildest, most spectacular and most exploring-worth side of Mani, close to old mountain villages, not far from the biggest city of the area (Areopoli) and less than 10’ away from the last gas station of the area and from Gerolimenas town apposite for...
