Tainaron Blue Retreat — Hotel in Municipality of East Mani

We booked this hotel wanting absolute serenity and relaxation and it delivered 100%. The size of the property is perfect for those looking to escape - only 4 rooms - and the aspect and views are breathtaking. Photos do not do it justice. The rooms are well sized given that the hotel is an old Mani Tower. Because of the size it feels like most of the shared space around the pool area is private. Special mention to go to owner Kostas who has bought this place to life - he is engaging, knowledgeable about the local area and passionate about the region and his guests hospitality. We did quite a bit of exploring during our stay but it would be perfectly possible to spend your entire stay within the walls of the property and have your every need catered for. The food we had on our first night was delicious, and so to was the breakfast every morning. We have been hesitant to mention the address to too many people only because we selfishly want it to remain a hidden gem! Simply put, Tainaron Blue Retreat has provided me the most wonderful visit and stay I have had in all my 68 years. For context, I grew up in Southern California, and I have been many places in my life including Hawaii, islands in the Caribbean, and several Greek islands as well (Santorini, Mykonos, Paros, Corfu, Skiathos, etc) , but Mani and in particular Cape Tainaron is now by far my favorite place. Making my visit there ultimately unparalleled was my stay at Taianron Blue retreat . With its tranquility and majestic views, its beautiful accommodations , Kostas' incredible and detailed hospitality, and the wonderful food as well, Taianron Blue was ironically not as the region was thought of in ancient time as the gateway to hades, but in fact Heaven on Earth!!! It simply was perfect and I highly recommend it. Unfortunately my wife could not come with me for this visit but I am already hounding her for a return...

Every single experience we had at Tainaron Blue was unique. From the 1st minute you enter the facilities you get to feel the true meaning of hospitality by Mr Kostas (the owner) who is taking care of you and has paid attention to every single detail of your stay.

The room was very cozy, minimalistic and nicely decorated with super comfortable beds and linen.

Our best time of the day was when we had to eat. Both breakfast and dinner (both days), were served with such care from the all staff and Mr Kostas himself explaining every dish and giving you the full experience. All dishes were just mesmerizing, we just wanted to taste everything (a great reason to visit again!)
