Epavlis Resort — Hotel in Municipality of Ermionida

We are only checking out tomorrow, but I cannot wait to tell other guests who are not here what they are missing!||This is the place to come to as a family.||Lots of space for children & adults alike. ||Clean & comfortable rooms, & the best shower so far on this trip!||They have a lovely menu to choose your food from, great home cooked traditional Greek cuisine prepared by Takis.||The day we arrived Dimitris welcomed us with warmth & friendliness. He is very helpful & saw to it that all our needs were met.||The beach which is just across the road, is one of th best so far. Fantastic for swimming, for children to play safely in the ocean, & best of all, which is very rare, the organised beach is free. I rarely leave bad reviews but I will make an exception here. Last year we booked this place based on it having a taverna onsite. We knew there wasn't much else around there and no local grocery stores so that was really important to us especially as we don't drive.

Long story short, the taverna wasn't open, nor was there anyone around to talk to (definitely no reception as promised in the listing). On top of that the room was grubby and had no mosquito screen meaning we had a very bad night's sleep in a stuffy room. It was utterly miserable.

We left the next day and made a complaint. We had booked for two nights and the hotel promised to refund one night based on the lack of facilities. They then reneged on that promise and refused to refund us.

We spent 4 nights here with my family and another family with kids. ||The positives:||The hotel is situated next to a wonderful beach. They offer free sunbeds and umbrellas for the hotel guests. The rooms are relatively spacious and have a small porch and a kitchen with a stove and a small fridge. ||They also own a small restaurant which had very good food, service and was fairly priced. ||The access to the beach is well designed with stairs on one side and a ramp on the other for baby strollers. ||So it quite ideal for families.||||The negatives:||The bathroom is a bit small.||The price does not include breakfast.||The wifi is quite unstable. ||The rooms upon check-in were clean, but during our 4 night stay they did not clean the rooms.
