Kaloneri Rooms — Hotel in Municipality of Gortynia

Our room was clean, spacious, comfortable and with a beautiful view of the mountains. Great value for money (especially since everything else in the area seemed more expensive and not always nicer). The highlight for us, though, was Dora's hospitality - she was very communicative and gave clear instructions re finding the property and her recommendations about what to see in the area when you have a limited amount of time were also great. Finally, the breakfast that she served with a lot of care and love ('meraki' as we say in Greek) was delicious and her place where it's served at (Aroma in Lagkadia - just a short drive from the rooms) is so cute and the view from it is stunning! On our final morning, we would not have enough time to have breakfast during the breakfast window because we wanted to leave earlier, so Dora offered to bring a full breakfast tray to our accommodation early in the morning for us to have on the balcony as we were getting ready or to take any - so so kind! Special mention to her delicious handmade spanakopita (spinach pie) and tiropita (feta pie) which she serves during breakfast but which we also got extra of for the way - make sure you do the same! Kaloneri Rooms is a great choice value-for-money small hotel for your stay near Dimitsana, Stemnitsa and Lagkadia.||Our room (out of 6 total) was spacious, well decorated and comfortable. The bed was large and the mattress great. The view out of the window is the mountain and it's all you need. Plus there is coffee/tea if you fancy making some.||As for the location, it is just 5-10 minutes away from Dimitsana or Lagkadia and away from all the fuss.||Breakfast is served at Lagkadia and you shouldn't miss it (delicious tyropita!)||The owner is very helpful and friendly and will assist you with anything you may need.||On the downside, the bathroom is inexplicably small (poor design). This is a comfortable place with beautiful views! Our room was spacious, clean, modern, and with a fireplace which we used both nights we were there. Balcony is comfortable and affords beautiful views of the mountains. Complimentary breakfast is served within 5-10 min. drive in adjoining town of Lagkadia where owners have a cafe.
