What a find - a really modern hotel with old style hospitality. Aimed at the younger Athenians who demand their comfort with oodles of style the 4 Seasons is the hip companion to the more traditional Kentpikon Hotel which along with a restaurant, that offers a high standard of fresh Greek food, are owned and run by a local family. ||So what makes it such a good hotel?||- Modern well appointed rooms with quality fixtures and fittings. With the accent on red the web pictures can look a little daunting but don't worry it really works.||- All the fixtures lamps, tv etc were of a good quality and had been put together with a designers eye||- Large comfortable beds with excellent bed linen and pillows. Sheets and covers were the best on our trip||- Deep pile rugs made getting out of bed a joy (oh, the little luxuries in life!)||- Stylish bathrooms with thick towels||- Great views from your balcony. With room for a table and a couple of chairs this is a great place start or end the day checking out the lazy main street and the hills across the valley||- A smart restaurant serving traditional Greek food. The menu changes daily and the house wine is crisper and stronger than most you will be offered||- There is a separate dining room for breakfast, which we missed, (too much of the house wine the night before!) but it looked as if there had had been comprehensive choice on offer.||- Value for money - for all that is offered the prices charged are very reasonable (yes, there are other up market hotels in neighbouring villages but they have prices that most five star city hotels would love to charge||- Being family owned and run the welcome and service was friendly, attentive and professional||- Locals use the restaurant and bar which means it keeps a sense of traditional character amid the modern and...
Read moreWonderful service. Available when needed with a curteous, kind presence. Family oriented people. Beds & room was comfortable & one was Available on short notice. Nicely decorated. A personal balcony looking out to the mountains on the other side over the valley. The folks working there were ready at a moments notice to do whatever was needed. Had time allowed we would have easily stayed a week. Convenient in village location. Everything we needed was right there! I am thankful for them helping each other to contact our family as we had No addresses & No phone #s. Within an hour our family was there. We ate on the lovely, pictursque covered patio which had a warm, quaint atmosphere. LOVED it there. I am hoping they will see this & contact me so we can communicate. I had sent a mailing to family as the internet said there was a post office in Lagkadia. Our family did not get my letter & photos before our arrival. I left a photo with them of the hotel in 1987 that my Dad(now passed) had taken. Hoping to make it back asap someday with another daughter and ??? Respectfully submitted by Patti Starr Smith as listed on fb. I encourage anyone to stay here & visit Lagkadia. It is a unique...
Read moreChosen randomly, we came upon the beautiful hillside village of Lagkadia and the 4 Seasons Hotel. Welcomed at the door by its owner we were shown our room overlooking the gorge and decorated cheerfully in red and white. Half board here at 80 E is very good value. The comfort of the hotel is beyond question and dinner (we both had lamb) was delicious. However, the night we stayed was, in essence, spoilt by a rowdy group of students whose priority was not study but their own loud voices. They monopolised every seat in a very nice anti-room until 11pm and, next morning, they demolished breakfast. Nevertheless, highly...
