Natura Hotel Vytina — Hotel in Municipality of Gortynia

I made my first review on this hotel back in 2018, which was my first stay there and I was very pleased. I have stayed there 2 more times since then and my experiences were quite unpleasant to be honest. ||I booked this hotel again on September of 2019 for 3 days. Upon my arrival there was noone at the hotel so I called the owner who asked me to go to Vytina and drink a coffee and he would be there in about an hour. 2 hours passed and he hadn't called me, therefore, I did. He told me he would need another hour... Since I had arrived around 16:00 o'clock I completely lost my day waiting for the onwer. The room had quite a few issues, starting with it being not well cleaned and missing shampoo, shower gel and toilet paper. That was kind of settled after i told them about it... At nights it gets quite chilly in the mountains but they wouldn't open the radiator and when i asked the owner if it would be possible his response was "It is not that cold, I can give you an extra blanket..." The worst thing is that they had a group of people staying for a couple of days and the owner asked me to go stay in another hotel for my 3rd day because he had done a mistake and double booked my room! So he made me pack all my stuff, he booked me another hotel nearby and he didn't even offer to compensate it for all the trouble me made me go through. ||||I decided to give them another chance so we booked 2 rooms (me and my wife and another couple) on November of 2019 and upon arrival we had issues with the room again. It was not that clean, there were spider webs in the bathroom, only 2 small bottles of shampoo and no shower gel, no hand soap nor toilet paper. When we asked for all the bathroom amenities they didn't have any to provide us... On the next day the gave us some random shampoos and shower gels which were like lost and found ones. The other couple had the exact same issues and were quite unhappy about their stay.||||Since the location of the hotel is amazing I said to myself "I'll give this hotel one last chance" and so I did. I booked the hotel again for me and my wife for a couple of days for my birthday on October 2020. The day prior to our check-in, the owner calls me at 22:30 (!) to inform me, like it's not a big deal, that he wouldn't be able to make it! And that was the last time I ever thought of going back there.||||The hotel has INSANE potential but the owner just doesn't care. He treats it like it's his vacation home, where he can also accommodate some people who shouldn't ask for too much, although they are paying for their stay. If it was like a hostel for 10,00€ per night that would be a quite good deal,...

This hotel is just amazing!||I stayed in this hotel by myself for a 3 day cycling excursion and I could not be happier with my choice. For starters the location is stunning, around 2km outside of Vytina village on the way to Mainalo Ski center. The hotel is kind of private, which is a good thing. Upon check-in you are given a remote control for the gate which means that no random people can enter, making it safer (especially for families). The only thing you hear from your room is birds singing and occasionally bells from nearby sheep. ||The room itself is very spacious with the smell of wood taking over, the beds & pillows are Coco-mat, simply put amazing.||Breakfast has quite a few choices and I was also offered eggs to my liking, fresh orange juice and the coffee I preferred, besides the normal filter coffee already present in the main breakfast.||The staff is very friendly and kind, so is the owner.||I totally recommend this hotel and will definitely be visiting again in the...

We visited the hotel for the holiday of the Greek independence day. At first, the owner did not bother to inform us on time about the dates that the room was available (arrival on 24th or on 25th of March). Second, the room was not the one that we booked, as we had chosen the one with fireplace, but the owner did not offer this room to us, telling that he had not even noticing our booking 😳 However, the WORST thing we experienced was that heating in the room was out of order, while the temperature outside was 2°C. After some unsuccessful attempts to fix it, which took 3 hours, the owner proposed another room to spend the night. Not to mention that all that time he was totally apathetic.

All in all it was the worst facility we had ever been, combined with owner's lack of professionalism, made it completely disappointing, unpleasant and waste of money. So do not choose it for...
