Nice and cossie hotel, at the top of the hill in Grevena - Greece. Only few hundred metres from the main road. Room was nice, clean with balcony looking at the hotel garden and swimming pool (which was out of use, since season has not started yet). Free parking space for out motorcycles beneath balcony at main entrance. Receptionist Panos was excellent, friendly and very professional. He offered me better value for money than Booking.com. Since we confirm that we will take the room, he dissappear from Reception desk for one minute to switch on heating in room since we were wet and cold from driving. If you are tired from driving and bad weather on your way to Meteora Holy Trinity monastery, do not hesitate to stop and stay in Hotel Axilleion. You won't regret, warm and friendly hospitality from hotel staff...

Take the exit atGrevena East .Follow the signs Hotel and drive to the top of the hill. There is the Achillion hotel. Hotel is slightly shabby but with style. The staff is friendly , breakfast is a great. Room was spacious and clean with wonderful view on the surrounding hills and forest. ||A special experience was the class of the sunset yoga by the pool. With the sounds of music from the far east the sun illumine the hotel until it was completely gone.||Not far from the hotel is the sleeping town of Grevena. There is everything in the sign of the mushrooms, restaurants, fountains and shops.||The only two complaints are on a towels and pool. Towels are worn out and the pool is with dark green water. We were in Grevena for a round of the EnduroGp Championship. Very pleasant hotel. Efficient and friendly. Rooms cleaned to a high standard and linen changed every day. Good buffet breakfast included a choice of yogurt, honey, cereal, fried eggs, omelette, spinokapita, little sausages, jams, fresh bread, rolls, orange juice, coffee etc. Excellent value for money and great views from the bedroom balcony. A nice old labrador and several cats in the grounds (they are very well trained and don't venture indoors!)
