🌿 The Stone House — A Serene Cretan Retreat with Magical Terrace & Starry Skies

Our stay at The Stone House was unforgettable. Perched high above the hills of Crete, this beautifully restored stone villa blends tradition with comfort. The spacious living room with high ceilings, a full kitchen, and direct access to a large terrace made it feel both welcoming and authentic. Downstairs, the cozy matrimonial bedroom with its own bathroom and washing machine added great convenience.

The setting is magical: surrounded by olive groves, fruit trees, and vintage objects that tell the story of the place. The terrace was the heart of our stay — perfect for sunsets, meals, and quiet moments together. Our young adult kids even chose to sleep overnight on the beach beds under the open sky, enjoying the fresh Cretan air and absolute serenity.

At night, with no light pollution, we were treated to an incredible sky full of stars and even Perseid meteors — a truly memorable experience.

Emmanouil, our host, was outstanding: responsive, attentive, and warm, with his family adding a welcoming personal touch.
