My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night after travelling from gouves to go to Elafonisi and balos beach. We really had no idea how absolutely amazing it was until we got there.
All of the rooms are named after Disney movies and we had the little red rising hood. The traditional stone walls made it astonishing to look at as well as kept it cool inside. We were greeted with such a warm welcome from the owners Greg and Eleni who provided us with complimentary snacks and drinks before we konked out for the night.
In the morning we were welcomed at their breakfast table and had a lovely time chatting and exchanging pleasantries. Greg and Eleni gave us helpful tips, fed us and were overwhelmingly lovely.
By far one of the most memerable times of our Cretan experience considering we travelled near enough over the whole island throughout our stay. Can’t wait to go back and would recommend anybody whether they be a family, a couple or even singles to stay here. What an experience!
Thanks Greg and Eleni, you...
Read moreWe would warmly recommend all visitors in the region to spend at least one night in this wonderful place. It is located in a tiny Cretan village with a strong local community feeling. The hosts are a young family who is breathing new life into the village. They produce tomatoes, olive oil and much more. We were spontaneously invited to their family dinner and it was absolutely delicious! In the future, they might also offer cooking classes.||The room was a traditional Cretan stonehouse with decorations and furniture made by the family itself! It was brandnew and very clean. ||The breakfast was overwhelming: So many homecooked delicacies! It was amazing. ||Before we left, we even got to look at the small local museum guided by our host. We learned so much about Cretan culture and agriculture. It was amazing! Thank...
Read moreWe had six really comfortable nights at the 'sleeping beauty' room with great breakfasts in abundance. The room and bathroom were clean like as they were new and cleared up every day. Greg and Elen, the owners, were everytime very obliging and always spread an atmosphere that we were welcome. From the accommodation we went to the wonderful beaches of Elafonisi (with pink sand, in about 30 min) and Phalasafarna (not overcrowded and with nice waves, in about 1 hour) and also to see the live in towns like Chania and villages like Perivolia itself. Elen and Greg gave us some tips and information where to go or what to consider, very helpful. :) So we had a look at the cave 'wisdom of god' for example. We would love to come back sometime and wish always the best for this lovely family. Thank you very much for...
