Stayed in December 2022 and it was so hot inside it was impossible to sleep (and as an Australian I'm used to hot nights). There was no way to turn cool the room aside from opening the windows, which was impossible as they were hosting a wedding with music so loud it shook the walls until 4am. I think we were in a room with faulty heating but they didn't want to move us as we would have been closer to the (extremely loud) wedding. The manager spoke to us the following morning with the excuse that "the bride was having so much fun" and offered us an extra night's free accommodation. This was clearly a ridiculous offer as it was only a week until Christmas so most people would have set plans already, and they could not have paid me to spend another night in that sauna, music or no music. They refused to refund us for the night despite our complete inability to sleep, which is the entire purpose of a hotel.
Edit to add in response to manager's message:
Unfortunately, rather than apologise, the manager has chosen to misrepresent events during my stay. Contrary to his comments, I asked repeatedly about the heating issue. In fact, for the first time in my life I rang reception to complain about an issue. I was not offered another room, despite my request for one, and was told no one would be able to look at the heating issue until morning, as it was the middle of the night. Furthermore, I want to reiterate that the phrase "the bride was having so much fun" was absolutely used by the member of staff who was tasked with apologising to everyone entering the breakfast room. It was included in my original review as it was a frankly astounding and poorly judged attempt to garner sympathy from the many tired and annoyed guests. Perhaps this man was not the manager, as I assumed, but he certainly used the phrase.
Therefore, in addition to my earlier issues, it is now clear that either there is such poor communication between staff that my requests to reception were not recorded, and the manager was unaware of how his staff were apologising for a serious issue, or that the manager lies in his responses to poor reviews. In either case, my opinion of the hotel has...
Read moreRegrettably, I stayed in this lovely hotel for just one night; I wish my stay were longer next time! The staff is caring about their guests making efforts to keep them satisfied. Cosy bungalows with either the pool or the garden view offer very comfortable accommodation, including nice bathrooms with all usual toiletries. Mine had the garden view and the garden chairs invited me to spend a relaxing time outdoors. It was a business trip with lots of work, so I could not enjoy everything the hotel offered - no time to immerse in the pool and no chance to enjoy the breakfast as I had to leave early; you can see the pictures are taken at night and early morning, the only moments I spared. Despite my busy schedule, I felt relaxed and fresh even after just 3-hour sleep. As my job in Larissa is pretty regular, I'm truly looking forward to next stays. Compared to the Divani Palace Larissa, the Grecotel Larissa Imperial...
Read moreI have never felt more compelled to write a review singing the praises of a hotel and its staff. From the rooms to the amenities, everything is what you would expect from a five star hotel all useful and makes extended stays easier. However the biggest plus resides in its waiters/waitresses, THEY ARE AMAZING people. To name a few Katerina, Efi, Vasiliki, Rafaela, Kostas, Giannis, Panagiotis, Gagan all were spectacular in their ways of greeting, understanding, and serving. Cleaning, taking orders, and delivering them all on time are things they can do easily all with a smile on their face. I never thought I'd find a new group of friends in the most random of places. If I ever come back it'll be for the family like experience this hotels staff gave me.||Last thing I want to say, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the laughs and stories that was made at this hotel it was truly an...
