Oh how I wished I had took the time to look at Tripadvisor before I booked, I usually do but I think the last minute nature of my trip meant that I didn't have chance.||||Anyway this place is truly awful. We booked here due to an early flight, the Holiday Inn was full and the Sofitel wanted £270 for 1 night! So I found this place via google and it looked OK for a one night basic stay which is all I wanted.||||Firstly I should warn you that this is not an Airport Hotel. It is in the middle of nowhere and the taxi to the airport was 25 Euro!||||Secondly and more to the point the place is filthy and disgusting and a health hazard! We were greeted by a grumpy old man on check in who was trying to insist that I pay with cash, and was quite offended that I wanted to pay with my debit card. Downstairs there is a bar and breakfast area which was desolate it looked like it have never been used in 30 years.||||In the room there were creaky springy beads, stains all over the walls and furniture, a 1980s TV set that hardly worked and one of the worst bathrooms I have ever seen. The shower was a tiny cubicle which looked like it had never been cleaned in years (suffice to say I didn't get showered), the sink sprayed water everywhere when turning on the taps and the walls were covered in disgusting black mould.||||We really struggled to sleep in this filthy place and we slept with out cloths on! I also saw flees on the floor. We actually left one hour early just to get out of there! Thankfully I dodged the breakfast, god knows what that would have been like!||||This ending spoiled a nice family and business trip. In future if I find the real airport hotels overpriced or booked out I may just stay in the city and get out of bed a little earlier because this is a disgrace. ||||I can only hope that this review and others will serve as a warning and stop people putting money into the pockets of the owners of such a filthy,...
Read moreThe front desk staff goes above and beyond to make your stay a good experience, even if it is only one night. They will order you food to be delivered for free and taxi services. Very nice people. I would not recommend this hotel for a long stay but it's perfect for a layover to the airport as it's very close and certainly cheaper than most of the hotels around the airport. I think you get what you pay for in this hotel and that is fine. The rooms are large and they serve breakfast.||Now for the negatives:||The TV didn't work, the shower was broken so the water only came out of the faucet at your waist which made it difficult to wash our hair, and the water pressure in the sink was so high it sprayed all over the bathroom when you turned it on. I think they need to pay attention to fixing things that break in the hotel and then it...
Read moreThe name of this “airport” hotel is a misnomer, and I am at a loss why people say it is a convenient place to stay near the Athens Airport. It is 8 miles away, on a busy highway that was packed with traffic when we arrived, resulting in a 35 euro taxi ride (we printed out the directions, so we know the driver went the right way). The return was 25 euros at 3 AM (17 euros on the meter, but a taxi must be ordered). So, yes it is inexpensive, but count on an extra cost of 50 Euros for transport if you are using it as an overnight stop between flights.||Otherwise, a standard, clean but old and slightly rundown European bargain hotel. (I would have rated it as “average” except for location). Lovely manager who arranged for food delivery because there is no restaurant within walking distance. Sort of in the...
