This is a beautiful property with a very kind and welcoming staff lady. It feels more like staying with a posh auntie than in a typical hotel, which adds to its charm. Surrounded by nature and close to the airport, it was a peaceful and convenient stop for my last night before an early flight. The rooms are spacious, airy, and well equipped with everything you might need. I enjoyed the presence of the resident dog and cat, it’s perfect for animal lovers. The home-cooked dinner at only 21euro price point was delicious- there is no menu but they ask you for your dietary preferences in advance. Breakfast is also available, but I didn’t get the chance to try it due to an early flight. However, a few downsides kept me from giving a full 5 stars. Check-in is only available from 4 PM, which feels quite late, especially when check-out is at 11 AM, but my biggest issue was the airport transfer. One reason I booked this property was its closeness to the airport. I just wanted to avoid long and pricey journey from Athens early in the morning. The property even sends you a message about transport service they have, promoted as more reliable and without hidden fees. I understand it was an early pick up (5am) and the property might charge a little extra, however, I was charged €30 for a 7 minute ride to the airport, nearly triple what a regular taxi (€12) or Uber (€8–11) would charge. It’s my fault for not confirming the cost in advance, but I trusted the property staff will look after me. To make matters worse, the driver wasn’t so experienced as he dropped me at the wrong entrance despite knowing my airline, forcing me to drag three suitcases across the airport, exactly what I wanted to avoid. All in all, it’s a lovely and comfortable place with a lot of charm, but it felt somewhat overpriced and the transfer situation left a sour note on an otherwise...
Read moreHorrible stay and I highly recommend you stay away from this place. Here are the reasons: Disgusting mosquitoes: we arrived at the room at 23:30, and noticed that there are many mosquitoes in the bathroom (photo). There are around more than 20 mosquitoes, which is disgusting and made us feel not safe going to bed knowing the mosquitoes will bite us. My husband and I had to fight the mosquitoes for about 2 hours in order to k i ll most of the mosquitoes in the room. The host was not responding when we contacted about this, not until the next morning; and their response was “please use the mosquitoes repellent”; which we did. However using the mosquitoes repellent does not assure us of a safe sleep (which we really needed). Bad location. The place is surrounded by trees and there is absolutely nothing around this accommodation. We only stayed for one night in order to wait for our flight on the next day, but you won’t be able to buy any snacks or drinks when needed. Poor breakfast. The breakfast is not complimentary as shown here in Google; but costs 8,5 euros per person, which we were informed in advance. However the portion is very small (photo), fruits are not fresh and definitely not worth 8,5 euros.
The only good thing about this accommodation is the airport shuttle service - the driver (Vaios) was very nice and helpful, the price is reasonable.
Overall, the stay was horrible for us and definitely not...
Read moreWe booked a "deluxe suite" through booking.com|What we got was a basic room with even no luggage placement facility, no safe, no sofa, no proper closet, no proper mirror nor dressing table whatsoever. The room had a torn curtain, stained and filthy walls, toilet with peeling paint, walls and floor stained to the point of disgust. The level of furniture in the room was at the level of a teenage boy's room with a double bed and desk only. The air conditioner in relation to the size of the room was very small and did not cool the room at all. Breakfast in Greece (!) did not include any vegetable, orange juice, morning pastry, no cheese. Only 2 hard boiled eggs with 2 slices of toast for 2 people, basic cornflakes with milk and some fruit. The coffee was OK. What was very surprising and disappointing was the aggressive attitude of the owner when we commented to her about the breakfast. She went so far as to not telling the truth when she said she had sent us a message about our requests for breakfast. We have never got such a message and never verbally on our preference.|The place definitely does not fit the standard of hospitality in Greece and between the advertising of "deluxe suit" and what we received there was no connection!|Even if you arrive for only one night before flying for the next day, it does not justify sleeping in such a shabby room with a poor breakfast and stinginess that cries...
