Let's start off with the positives: The breakfast was great with a large variety of things to choose and the pool was quite nice. Other than that the staff was helpful and friendly.
However. There are also a lot of negatives.
For example: the room were very small and the bathroom even smaller, the toilet, shower and sink were confined in a space the size of one square meter and there was no shower head holder, which made everything needlessly difficult. The room also had no table to sit at (which would have been nice in the scorching 45 degrees Celsius).
Other than the room, they advertised free wifi, but let me assure you that there is no internet connection to speak of. You either use your cellular connection or wait untill midnight when it magically starts working for seconds on end. It should be removed to avoid confusion.
The last critique I have is the restaurant (not including the free breakfast). For some reason almost 75% of the menu was not available which meant choosing multiple times and then being told it isn't available, multiple times. The waitress did not know what was available and what wasn't, so she had to run back and forth between our table and the kitchen which took a while. This happens often in Greece, but this case was a bit extreme. If most of the menu isn't available, don't put it on your menu! Other than the availability of the food, we got the wrong dish eventough we double checked our order with the waitress.
The restaurant also charges for bread and water, without asking the customers if they want it, they just bring it and you are expected to pay. Most restaurants in Greece give the bread for free and give you water on request and then it costs money because you asked for it. It was really weird that they brought stuff without asking you and still...
Read moreWe visited this hotel in July 2018, for a weekend.||This hotel is located approximately 14km (20min.) away from Kalamata. ||The first impression was positive. People at reception were polite and they welcomed us warmly.||They guided us to our room and they explained in detail how to use the amenities. ||The room was spacious and looked recently renovated. In my opinion both the room and the bathroom were a bit under-illuminated. Both room and bathroom were clean without any smells. ||The small patio outside the room was nice and you can have some relaxing moments over there. In our case, the banana trees (which are everywhere) cast their shadow on the patio which made it even better especially in the morning. (TIP: If you leave your stuff on the patio to get dry overnight, check them before use them cause some harmless insects might had use them as shelter – happened to me) ||WiFi with good coverage is available only at the reception area. ||The pool is big, and I don’t think that it can become easily crowded. Sun umbrellas and trees cast their shadow around the pool.||Unfortunately, I didn’t have breakfast, even though it was available in the price, so I cannot comment on that. ||In my opinion, at this price range, you will not easily find a...
Read moreWe stayed here for a week as a couple. The place is in a remote location but is perfect for relaxing. ||The staff are very friendly and go above and beyond to help you anyway they can. ||The pool is large and quite deep but perfect for a lovely swim. ||The rooms were good and had everything you needed. Small thing didn’t like the fact the shower wasn’t screwed to the wall, however we coped with this. ||We discovered a short stroll||Down the beach there are more cafes and restaurants and a large all inclusive hotel. As the only thing that is lacking is a shop close by. ||We are at the restaurant and the food was good and reasonably priced. ||The beach is very quiet and only a short stroll. The beach does need tidying up a bit and maybe this is something that sia bungalows can look||Into by providing sun loungers on the beach and an area to buy drinks. It would be perfect to have a small area private to themselves to be able to provide this to the guests. ||Overall loved the stay and...
