WATCH OUT THESE ARE SCAMMERS! WE ARE THREATENED AND HAD TO PAY 1000 EUROS

The problem started after a few days. The gardener came for the first time and immediately took pictures of everything that was already broken. A little later we were called by the female owner. The owner said we broke some chairs, and we must pay for this. We immediately told the owner that the chairs were already broken when we arrived here, but she didn't believe us. The same day she came by and we had a discussion.

The days and hours after this discussion the gardener kept an eye on us. The first few days we didn't have a gardener in our garden at all. After this conflict, the gardener was often present in our garden. We didn't feel like we were on vacation, we felt watched by him and had no privacy.

A few days later both owners came to own our villa. Her husband could not speak English and had an aggressive attitude towards us. He raised his voice and didn't let us finish when we were talking to the female owner. After this discussion, the gardener and both owners went into the garden to check the things that were already broken.

They were also on the phone for a long time. At the time we didn’t know they were calling with the police. After the call, the female owner told us that we must pay € 1000,00, 750 in cash and 250 euros is deducted from our deposit. She said if we didn’t pay the police would come and arrest us. If that wasn't bad enough, we also must leave the villa and were not welcome anymore. We had no choice but to leave the villa and to look for something else on our own cost.

The gardener was often present in the garden, we had no rest and felt watched by the gardener.

When the gardener was working in the garden, the water in the pool was no longer refilled, we were blamed for this.

The owners said they would check the CCTV footage about the pool. So there are are hidden cameras in the villa.

The gardener and male owner had an aggressive and angry attitude, and we didn't feel comfortable with them around us.

The female owner threatened us with the police She said the police were going to arrest us and we had to go to prison if didn't pay the € 1000,00.

Before we were kick out of the villa, they wanted to check the inside of the villa. The male owner went straight to a shower curtain that was broken. Fortunately we had already fix the shower curtain otherwise we had to pay for it. This proves us that the owners already knows what was broken..

The owners banned us from the villa, and we had to look for something else on our own cost.

The female owner said she will send us an invoice about the thing we paid for. Unfortunately, we have not received the invoice yet.

The € 1000,00 was for:

3 Chairs, 1 of the chair was already broke. The quality of the other were bad, in the pictures you can see the someone tried to fix the chairs with screws and glue.

This holiday cost us in total € 2179,34 euros more due to the scammers...

The villa is in a very peaceful location with beautiful views. A few minor issues to start with which were speedily sorted by the friendly owners. The pool area and outside features of this villa are perfect, great pool, lovely bbq and eating area and pretty evening lighting on the stunning palm trees in the garden. Gorgeous sunsets! We really did not...

Mała wioska, do której można dostać się autobusem miejskim z Rethymno ( ok. 50-55 minut, bilet w maju 2024 r. - 3,80 Euro w jedną stronę. Jeśli ktoś przyjedzie własnym samochodem może tu zostać pół dnia, obejrzeć wyrabiane na miejscu produkty, niektóre użyteczne, inne tylko dla ozdoby. Ciekawe uliczki, fajna atmosfera miejsca. Kilka tawern. Jeśli chce się tylko zrobić zakupy, wystarczy godzina - dwie. Bardzo fajne ceny w sklepie, w którym siedzi sobie młody mężczyzna i na miejscu wyrabia produkty. Sklep ma dwa wejścia. Nie widzę nazwy sklepu na mapie, nie mogę...
