Ξενοδοχείο Κυνίσκα — Hotel in Municipality of Monemvasia

Cleanliness at its worst. Hairs on the bed linens and bathroom/toilet was even worst. It is not the best start of a two day stay when you have to clean by yourself hairs from previous renters. We called the girl in the reception and she had some weird excuses about the whole situation. Next morning I complaint to the guy in the reception stating the issues. He told me that he will transfer my complains to the owner but the owner never came back. In addition to the cleanliness issue we had room problems. My daughter was supposed to sleep in the living room sofa separately from us. That was the deal. Though one living room window had no shutter or curtain. That made the stay at that "Suite" room impossible since my 10 year old daughter would be awake by 6 am due to the sun. Overall a bad experience. Paid 120 euro per day for this nasty room, the owner shown zero professionalism and we are not going to stay there ever in the future. We have stayed at this hotel many times||Left a few days ago and will be returning this month again. Great little hotel, a true gem in the Plitra!||An approximate 5 minute walk to beach and restaurants.||Large rooms, nice showers, furnished balconies||Beautifully decorated lobby, large screen t.v.,||bar and nice cafeteria inside and outside for the breakfast buffet.||The front desk manager is a young man by the name of Philip, very helpful, friendly, ready to answer all our questions. Speaks excellent English as he has lived abroad.||Naila is the head of housekeeping and breakfast, she is a sweet young woman ready to help with any room problem that may arise and makes sure a wonderful buffet breakfast is ready when we wake up, I can still smell the fresh croissants coming out of the oven.||There is a new young woman at the front desk...

We stayed here this past summer after Covid had taken it away from us in 2020. I communicated with Katia since 2020 and this hotel came through for me greatly in 2022! I want to say a big thank you to all the employees who work at this hotel as they went out of their way to make us feel like family ! Perfect location, with the small beach literally meters away and the bigger one a short walk. Plytra , literally is a hidden gem and the beach is blue flagged for good reason and Asopitan plaz …. Amazing. I am writing this review late as we visited in late June early July but better late than never ! We miss this place and everything that came with it immensely. Clean rooms/property , good morning breakfast to start the day , and courteous staff all around. We shall be back , and can’t wait to come...
