Mykonos Rocks — Hotel in Municipality of Mykonos

We stayed at Villa Sunstone in the Mykonos Rocks complex for my hen do as a group of 9. The villa is absolutely stunning and the pictures really don’t do it justice. The bedrooms consisted of 6 doubles all with en-suites (3 downstairs and 3 upstairs). 2 of the upstairs bedrooms opened up onto the terrace and two of the downstairs bedrooms opened up onto the pool area. The pool area is exactly as pictured, with different seating areas for people to enjoy. It is very close to the airport (you can see the runway from the pool area), but this didn’t bother us at all, the planes are so infrequent that the noise wasn’t an issue. I’ve listed some pros and cons below as before we visited we didn’t see many recent reviews, so hopefully this should give other guests a good insight.

Pros Amazing rooms and comfy beds Pool area amazing with stunning views (sunsets were beautiful here) Loads of outdoor seating options sun beds, bean bags, covered seated areas Large outside table area The villa is fully serviced and was cleaned daily, including fresh towels, making the beds and cleaning/tidying the kitchen & pool areas The complex had a gym, restaurant (although wasn’t open during our visit) and options to have a massage/spa treatments for additional cost Close to the airport The Mykonos Rocks team can organise a chef / bartender etc to come into the villa for parties / celebrations at an additional cost

Cons Small kitchen, not a working kitchen if you want to cook on a nightly basis Very small dishwasher The villa is based in a remote area up very steep hills and winding roads. You can’t walk anywhere nearby - to get anywhere you need to take into account taxi costs (which were approx 10 euros pp per trip). As it’s a small island it didn’t take long to get to most places but sometimes the traffic is quite bad due to the narrow roads The villa didn’t have simple cleaning facilities e.g a dust pan and brush was needed when we accidentally spilled something and needed to quickly clean this up

We had the most amazing stay here and would recommend this place to anyone as long as they are happy with the remote location. Mykonos is stunning and we will definitely all be returning! Thank you...

When we arrived in Mykonos and settled I told our villa, the first impression was the hilltop views that seemed to go on forever, immediately followed by a realization that the air conditioning was not on yet. At this point I mentally prepared for a vacation nightmare to begin…. What followed was the exact opposite, and worthy of the time spent to leave this heartfelt tribute to the Mykonos Rocks team.

They managed to get an HVAC tech out at 10:00pm to try to get the system running, and while he was not able to repair the system’s control panel. they did everything possible to keep us informed and comfortable for the night. In the morning they provided another update and then sent a van and 2 team members to help pack us up and move us across the island to their other 6 bedroom villa and provided complementary breakfast for the rest of our stay.

In addition to this their Concierge services proved to be invaluable. They helped arrange a beach buggy rental, got us a cabana and dinner reservations at Nammos beach club, and a private sunset catamaran cruise. They also offer grocery delivery and helicopter tours from their...

Traumhaftes Hotel mit atemberaubendem Blick!

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem wunderschönen Hotel war einfach fantastisch! Das Hotel liegt oberhalb von Mykonos und bietet einen spektakulären Panoramablick auf die Insel und das Meer – allein der Anblick ist schon die Reise wert. Die Anlage ist hervorragend geplant, mit schön gestalteten Häusern, die so geschickt platziert sind, dass man als Gast seine Ruhe hat und sich nicht von anderen Gästen gestört fühlt. Es ist ein perfekter Ort, um zu entspannen und die Seele baumeln zu lassen.

Die Innenausstattung der Villen ist ebenso ansprechend: ein stilvolles, einladendes Ambiente, in dem es an nichts fehlt. Wir reisten als Familie mit vier Kindern, und jeder von uns fühlte sich hier rundum wohl. Das Hotel bietet alles, was man braucht, und jeder kommt auf seine Kosten – ob beim Entspannen oder bei der Nutzung der hervorragenden Freizeiteinrichtungen. Besonders begeistert waren wir von dem top ausgestatteten Fitnessraum, der alles bietet, was man sich als sportbegeisterter Gast wünschen kann.

Was dieses Hotel jedoch wirklich besonders macht, ist der herausragende Service. Das Personal ist unglaublich freundlich, herzlich und stets bemüht, zu helfen. Egal welche Frage oder welches Anliegen man hat, das Team ist sofort zur Stelle und findet immer eine Lösung. Man fühlt sich als Gast wirklich geschätzt und gut aufgehoben, was den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer macht.

Für abenteuerlustige Gäste gibt es noch ein weiteres Highlight: der Weg zum Hotel. Der steile Aufstieg entlang des Felsens Ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. Dieser ist nur im ersten Gang mit großer Geschwindigkeit zu bewältigen. Das muss man vorher wissen. Mir persönlich hat es großen Spaß gemacht und war ein echtes Erlebnis🤪! Für weniger mutige oder bequeme Reisende lohnt sich allerdings ein Taxi zu nehmen– dann ist die Fahrt problemlos und entspannt.

Alles in allem war es ein traumhafter Urlaub in einem Hotel, das wirklich keine Wünsche offenlässt. Die Kombination aus atemberaubender Lage, luxuriöser Ausstattung und hervorragendem Service macht dieses Hotel zu einem absoluten Geheimtipp auf Mykonos. Wir kommen auf jeden...
