I am truly shocked by the 1 star reviews on here. We rented the Madilaria unit off of Airbnb. The unit is 30 minutes from town so we hit the grocery store first. Alexandra from the rental agency had us follow her out here and showed us around the area and unit. There are 3 bedrooms with private bath and balconies, a fully stocked kitchen and an ocean view. The private cove and beach is a 3 minute walk and beach chairs are provided there. The water is crystal clear. The caretaker Lucas was helpful and left us fresh vegetables and offered unlimited wine. We didn't really care for their wine. The red had pretty strong notes of vinegar to me. The ads for the place need to be updated, even on Airbnb. They talk about being able to help with the grape harvest, but evidently that was in 2019. That part feels like intentional false advertising. But, the place is amazing and we don't regret one minute of our 5 night stay here.

The apartment (Rozako)had everything we needed for a two-week stay. We especially loved the many seating options on the huge terrace overlooking the sea. The fresh vegetables from the terrace are a great idea, and it was also wonderful that the landlord brought us wine, raki, and other local products. Thank you very much! The bay offers a relaxing retreat for swimming and unwinding. You really need a car to get around, but the route down from the main road to the accommodation and the sea was easily manageable for us in a Fiat Panda, as it was for other visitors to the bay. We had a really great vacation and hope to come back one day!

People that give this place 1 star lack culture and an adventurous spirit. This place was absolutely WONDERFUL! Alexandra and Luca were excellent hosts. They gave us a basket of fresh vegetables and some wine from their vineyard as a welcoming gift. The private beach is beautiful, with a kayak you can use, and beach furniture available. The scenery is breathtaking, with all you need to feel immersed in the island culture. The drive from town is not bad, and really gives you a view of the island as a whole. My family and I will definitely be back, and we will reserve Mikra Bay Guesthouses when we do.
