Galazio Sunset Villas — Hotel in Municipality of Paxos

The place is really calm and peaceful, but the owner is omnipresent, he talks loudly, and he works until 11 p.m. sometimes. He is quite intrusive, he places his personal belongings on my outside table, he entered the apartment once without being invited. He is very angry, I often hear him shout very loudly, yelling at his wife Froso or the staff, and does not hesitate to reprimand you either (for not having been able to initialize the safe or for not having been able to stop the washing machine...). When he gets angry I don't feel safe, he can't control himself. In addition, he was able to be helpful and accommodating when I needed clean towels, a new coffee maker, and to arrange my check out time... The landscaping is very pleasant, the trees are magnificent, as well as the flowers. The apartment, very dark and humid on the ground floor, is suitably equipped, no more. For example bowls and a salad spinner would have been welcome. There are also no basic necessities for the shower or for the kitchen (no salt, oil, vinegar, coffee...) Which forces you to buy too many of them for the duration of your stay. The refrigerator is very noisy which is annoying especially at night. A little way from Gaios town, so best to hire a vehicle of some sort. Cars are difficult to park in the Paxos towns, when busy, so 4 wheelers or scooters are best, though be careful of slick hairpin corners!! 4 couples stayed at Galazio Villas last month for a week and we found the top villa very roomy, and with 2 bathrooms between 2 couples, was great. However we found our host very aggressive to deal with and when asked if we could have a half day rate for our 4 wheeler, as it hadn't been dropped off to the villa until 12.30pm was told that we weren't able to have it at all, if we weren't going to pay for the full day.(The host runs a vehicle hireage business as well) On another occasion the group witnessed a prolonged verbal attack on his female co-worker. Hopefully the 'live' wires by the washing machine have now been fixed, as our friends got numerous electric shocks attempting to remove their washing from the machine. SPIROS IS A CRIMINAL! Beware! I cant give negative stars else I would have. We booked this villa with Booking and Spiros contacted us and asked to book directly from him and also offered to rent a car from him. When we reached the port he gave us a car full of smoke (burn and not ciggarrette) and when we asked him to replace the car within 2 min of driving it, he threatened that we have to pay him EUR 1000, tried to choke my husband infront of my 10 year old daughter and threatened that we ant safe on the island anymore. The tourists and the locals passing helped us and called the police. He has earlier records of being voilent with people and the locals later told us that he is taking substances because of which he has anger issues. It breaks my heart to write this review and recall the trauma my family went though because of this guy Spiros. People like him destory the reputation of such a beautiful island.
