Wow! What can I say about this place? This family ran hotel it's the perfect spot for anyone looking to relax and escape life! The owners are so friendly, very helpful and very kind people. They have went above and beyond for us whilst staying here by giving us their number if we need any assistance and even gave us a lift into faliraki town when we couldn't get a taxi! Rooms are lovely, simple and just what you need. Air con is €7 a day per room but with the cost of living and energy bills we didn't mind! The pool is lovely and refreshing after a day in the sun and the views from the hotel are breath taking. The most reliable bus stop to Lindos is a 22 min walk down the hill, town is about 35 or 30 If you're fast and there's a small shop about 15 mins down the hill. Taxis are you friend for getting back up and cost €10. Alex the owner who built his hotel is very kind and cooked very late at night for my friend and me when we arrived late. This family will hold a special place in my heart for their kindness and way of life. I can't wait for...

The rooms are nothing fancy but that's ok because the price is reasonably cheap compared to other places although not by much. The owners have a terrible attitude towards guests. The towels in the rooms were not replaced a few days in a row and when I confronted the owners they were stubborn and refused to give more towels. Although is probably the cheapest option, it's not the most viable. The apartments are located 3km away from everything. I don't mind the 3km, it's not a lot but when it's 38 degrees outside, it can be very uncomfortable and tiring. Also the location is on the very top of a hill making it exhausting to move up and down. The view is amazing, you can almost see the whole island but it's definitely not worth. For 50 more euros you could probably find much better in terms of service and location. Also, just to finish, I think is absolutely ridiculous that air conditioning is paid extra 7 euro per night, in a country where there's 30 degrees outside pretty much every day...

Ok so before me and my girlfriend left we came on here and we were worried about what to expext. We spent 7 nights here and had 0 complaints. If you want to grumble about paying 20 quid a night stop reading now. Our room was cleaned 6 of those days. The air con IS 7 euro per day but so is most places in Greece so you can't grumble at that. The hotel is situated high up and is a bit of pain if you don't like walking but the views are beautiful so we didn't mind. A taxi was 6/8 euro from the McDonalds at faliraki. The owners of the hotel are fantastic. The food is great. My only suggestion to the hotel would be to upgrade the beds to double beds rather than 2 singles. Overall this is a 3* hotel so don't go expecting the Hilton. We had a lovely little cheap holiday away and made the most of it. If it wasn't for the trip up the hill we would both return...

Amazing family run hotel , the guy who greeted us upon arrival gave us his number and we were able to contact him and ask for help with buses , taxis and even queries about the hotel and rooms. It’s around a 35 minute walk downhill to the beach and into Faliraki town but it’s an easy walk. Going back to the hotel is a little harder with it being all uphill but it’s easy to grab a taxi up for €10. All staff were tremendously friendly and put experience and even cooked us pizzas when we arrived at 11:30pm on the first night (dinner finishes at 10pm). The pool is warm and food is good, air con is €7 but we didn’t mind paying that at all as it must cost a bomb if they were to supply it for free. And the nearest small shop is a short 14 minute walk away. 100% will be returning to this lovely hidden gem. Definitely worth every penny.

The family are very welcoming and really care about your stay, the rooms are basic but comfortable. The Wi-Fi was poor from my room on the 2nd floor so was easier to use data on my phone: Air-con is an additional €11 a night. Please be aware this hotel is quite a distance from anywhere which is fine for peace but a pain if you’d like to get into Faliraki, factor in taxis €10 each way. If you walk the nearest shop is roughly 20 mins, bars start at 25 mins. If you walk to the beach it’s easily 40mins ( I timed these). The walk back is up a very steep hill for many miles. Overall I enjoyed my time at Oleander, any issues I had were resolved quickly.
