When I first booked this Hotel, I was skeptical and slightly worried because of the other reviews talking about the planes. I had nothing to worry about. Yes, the Hotel is situated at the end of Rhodes runway but the planes aren't a bother. If anything, after the first night, we loved chilling in the pool/lounging on the sunbeds watching the planes! The noise lasts for about 10 seconds and even then, there's only a couple an hour. |I wanted to say a massive thank you to Xanthi for making us feel so welcome and helping us with any questions we had. Nothing was too much! |The rooms were brilliant. Basic but PERFECT. We had spacious wardrobes, a fridge, flat screen TV, decent bathroom and a balcony! I noticed another review play the 'race card' about being charged for air con. That isn't true and all customers are required to pay. We paid the âŹ49 (âŹ7 per night) for air con and I'll tell you now, it was totally worth it with the beautiful heat in Rhodes. I can understand why they charge - if they've got 50+ rooms, all using air conditioning at night between 8-10 hours a day, the electric bill for them is going to be high! |The photos on TripAdvisor are slightly out of date. You can certainly tell they've spent money on the place! The kids pool is now located within the main pool and they've opened up the main lobby area. It's beautiful! |This Hotel is in a rural part of Rhodes so I would highly recommend hiring a car. You can catch a bus but just bare in mind they may be full. So a taxi or car would be better. |There is a beach a short walk (about 10 mins) from the Hotel. It is a pebble beach but the waters are clear blue! If you go down around 8pm, you can watch the sunset and it's amazing!! |Now the Pool Bar - a big shout out to Katarina during the day! She is fantastic! So friendly and welcoming. Even when busy, she'll take the time out to talk to you. Such a wonderful person! Berfin & Simo during the night, an awesome duo! Again so friendly, up for laughs and always make you feel welcome! Simo even gave us a free Ouzo shot during the evening as we stayed late. Things like that always make you feel appreciated! |The food was fantastic! The restaurant is located upstairs. Whilst the Hotel is wheelchair friendly, the restaurant isn't. BUT, the staff will ask you what you want and bring it down to you themselves. They are very accommodating and helpful. There's always a variety of food, from Greek salads and starters, and the mains cater for everyone. There was always meat, vegetarian & fish. And the desserts, don't get me started on those.... WOW. They were delicious! |We went half board but we paid for lunch and that was amazing! |The drinks were so tasty and very reasonably priced. The local beer on draught was lovely too! And at âŹ2.50 per glass (if not all inclusive), you can't grumble at that! |There was never an issue in finding a sunbed during the stay and the shop on site was reasonably priced too. |The only negative thing I have to say about the place, was leaving! I hated it! It was very emotional as all the staff came up to you and gave us hugs and said goodbye. |We will DEFINITELY be back at this Hotel next year and we certainly cannot wait! |Î”Ï ÏαÏÎčÏÏÏ Vallian Village! We...
Read moreLocation |Is really close to the airport- 15euro for a taxi. You can see and hear the planes that go over but that was fine for us. It was ÂŁ27 euro in a taxi to go to Rhodes town and just 3euro each on the bus near the hotel - we went on the bus there and got a taxi back as it was soo hot with no aircon on the bus. We had to stand too and it was about 45 mins. ||Staff|The reception staff are WONDERFUL, nothing was too much trouble. They helped with beach towels - with bus timetables and taxis. |The barMAN in the evening however was very rude. Christos I believe his name is. |We were all inclusive (see below) and he would not serve us unless we provided an empty glass to show we were not trying to have 2 drinks instead of one. We are a family of 3. |His attitude was awful. He would never smile and if we interrupted his cigarette break he was even more grumpy. |He made a point of telling me to fetch my glass all the time - which we always did anyway and when I asked for a clean glass he was really rude tutting and questioning and being passive aggressive |I did try to speak to a man on reception about this (I think he might have been the owner) but unfortunately I donât think he understood what I was saying. |The daytime bar staff (female) was lovely. ||All inclusive |This includes breakfast lunch and evening meal. Plus local beer or wine from 10am - 10.30pm. And soft drinks. From 5pm you are allowed local spirits - single shots at a time only. The local alcohol was not really that nice and clearly just for the all inclusive trade which is a shame. No thought or care went into the cocktails that were on offer from 5pm-10.30pm - in a plastic cup. |The snacks for daytime were only water melon slice or a small pre made sandwich which sat on the bar all afternoon. |Ice cream cones were included 2-5pm only. |The food however was FABULOUS. Every meal was lovely with just enough choice. (Not one upset tum for the whole holiday) |The restaurant staff were wonderful too. ||Rooms|Cleaned daily. Air con was 7 euros per night extra and very much needed. ||Local beach |Is a 5 minute walk away but is pebbles only and very rough. However the sunset is incredible and worth a walk down there. |No facilities at the beach. ||Pool |Was lovely and seemed very clean at the beginning of the holiday however towards the end it felt a bit grubby and it did get busier. ||The majority of guests were French and there seemed to be a rep getting all the French guests together for activities iin the day and at night. This was fine however it may make some other guests feel a little left out - we didnât mind at all. ||There is also a table tennis table, darts and a pool table to use. ||All in all itâs a good hotel apart from the time limits on drinks. The local wine and beer were not great and sub standard. |I...
Read moreThis hotel is an absolute gem. The staff are so friendly, so helpful, and that's everyone - from the receptionist to the cleaners. The owners are constantly present and are just so lovely. The hotel is basic but far from being run down, and has everything you need. The rooms are spotless (you have to pay extra for air con but it's only 3 euros a day, which you can pay at the start of the end of your stay) and they are a good size. The swimming pool is lovely, with a little children's area too, and no need to rush for a sunbed - they have plenty, with lots of shade too. There is a beach a short walk, but it's not that great and not really suitable for small children. The vibe is relaxed at this hotel, and it makes for such a great stay. There are no strict rules like you get at other all inclusive hotels; this hotel tries to make you feel as relaxed as possible. The location is quite remote, with very little around, so you need to hire a car (you can do this at the hotel reception and is WAY cheaper than the airport) with the car being dropped off to you at the hotel. There is a bus that goes from the end of the road, but the timetable is not reliable! Rhodes Town on the bus is about an hour and a taxi is about 25 minutes. Lindos in the car was about an hour away. There is no evening entertainment in the hotel, but the bar around the pool is open with music, a pool table, board games, and books you can read too. This hotel is quiet and slow paced and away from the crowds, so if you want lively place, it's not for you. The food is absolutely delicious. It's a family run, small hotel, so they're not going to lay on trays and trays of food, but what they supply is lovely with the majority being local dishes; if you want chicken nuggets and chips every night, then you'll struggle. We found the food to be delicious, always fresh, and delivered with a bucket load of hospitality. The planes do fly over, but it's not constant and they didn't bother us in the slightest. The airport is literally 15 minutes way, so don't bother booking a transfer - there are hundreds of taxi's outside, and we got a people carrier for 5 adults and 4 suitcase for 20Euros. In a nutshell, this hotel is an excellent base for exploring Rhodes, the service is 5 star and everyone just...
