My husband and I stayed in Likithos Village with our 20 month old baby for a week in September, off-season. The hotel is nicely built and structured, with spacious rooms nicely furnished offering also coffee making facilities, and small bathrooms. However as the hotel is built on a slope, there are many steps and small walkways, it was difficult to manage with a pushchair and heavy suitcases. Also the beach, secluded, beautiful and clean (although small, lucky there weren't many guests) was accessible only with difficulty via steep steps and a wooden board. As it was off-season, the activities and animation, including also the much advertised beach bar, were not offered which we had not been informed about neither on the website or while booking. But we had access to table tennis, basket-and volleyball, a good childrens playground and the pool and pool bar and restaurant. The pool is very nice, but in need for renovation. Unfortunately we were limited by the restaurant evening opening times from 19 - 21 hrs, several times we arrived after 20:00 and found ourselves at an empty buffet. The food itself was good, although spicy/salty for our liking, and the maincourses fairly variable. A baby highchair was available at all times. Staff is friendly and helpful, but reception opening times are inconvenient in the afternoon (18:00 - 21:30). Small complaints (buffet, lack of loo roll, no hot water) were handled immediately although with a "huff". The hotel is off the beaten path, about 10km from the town of Neos Marmaras, and the rent of a car is highly recommended as there are no public transport or shopping facitities. We enjoyed a quiet, relaxing week, and can truly recommend the hotel if prepared for small...
Read moreWe read about Likithos on internet and booked it due to good reviews and location-we have been all over Sithonia and looked for a new place to stay... Likithos was a nice for a change:the hotel is quiet secluded from the commercial areas and crowd,it is found around 5km off from the main Sithonia road,on top of a hill with great views to a small bay beneath. Down a staircase of somewhat 20-30 stairs is found a very small sandy beach that gets under the natural shadow of the hill, after noon hours... Which was very pleasant in the hottest days.this beach is rather small,so it may get overcrowded in the pick season.we,in any case, never stay with one beach while staying on Sithonia but rather roam around and try different beaches-so it didnt reallt bother... The breakfast was simple but pleasant, having it outside by the pool with great views on the sea. The room was very clean, very spacious and simply but nicely furnished... Our balcony didnt have a shade,so you might wanna specially require a shaded balcony,as some have and some dont have a shade... The hotel has tennis, volleyball and basketball terrain which was nice. The only draw back i would have for the hotel would be the road to the hotel which at night is totally dark while curvy and high above the sea-which was not very pleasant, but this was price for being "off...
Read moreWe stayed in Likithos for ten days in September 2010. That was a really great holiday, even with our boy very active but a little bit clumsy boy (almost two years old). In short:||Surroundings:||Beautiful, five km from the main road, pine trees everywhere, olive wood around the hotel, although a car is unconditional ||The Hotel:||Small, tasteful, very clean. For your entertainment you have a pool (we never used it, because the hotel has a small private beach), tennis court, volleyball court, kindergarten, tavern and beach bar. Everything is a little out of date, but clean and functional||Accommodation:||Nice and cozy, with TV and AC (free of charge), but the bathroom needs a renovation. Though, what do you need beside clean room and good weather for a great holiday?||The view:||Breathtaking! We had a room with a sea view (see photo)||Food and drinks:||Highlight of this hotel – simple amazing!!! Uncle Costas is very, very talented cook. Costas, if you read this, all the best from Ilija and his parents… and see you…||On balance, we got much more then we looked for. Private beach, amazing nature, delicious food, cozy, clean room, all for very reasonable price. ||At the end, a small imperfection – The internet is dial-up, can you...
