This place is a dream! I was sceptical at first when I read some negative reviews about a stray dog and mosquitoes. I reached out to the host, who reassured me that the stray dog is no longer a problem and mosquitoes are a general problem in certain months all over corfu as it is a very green island. I get the worst mosquito bites but didn't get even one here. Perhaps it was because I applied Avon So Soft Skin like many people suggested? We visited in early May, and instead of mosquitos, we witnessed the most stunning display of fireflies in the garden and neighbouring areas at night time. It was truly magical. It also gets really dark at night, and you can see a trillion stars in the sky, just beautiful!!! The water on the sandy beach is shallow and like body temperature in the evening. I don't believe anyone was staying in the neighbouring houses when we were there, so we had the whole beach to ourselves! Terrible! The inventory is outdated. The house is very dirty. Air conditioner broken. Out of 5 doors, only two could be closed without problems. The toilet does not drain properly.The pictures were made professionally with filters. Not one picture was truthful . We were so disappointed that we looked for another accommodation. We are currently staying at Home Maro and cannot say how wonderful it is. The house is beautiful and has everything you could want. The garden is charming, and the beach is literally on your doorstep. There are a pair of excellent kayaks which our children have barely been out of, and the sea is shallow for ages so perfect for them. The hosts could not be more helpful.
