Bio-Guesthouse Mani Sonnenlink — Hotel in Municipality of West Mani

We saw this advertised in Stoupa and having been to the venue 5 years ago thought it was worth a try again. We were not disappointed. The backdrop for the location is stunning, the welcome is great and this time,as before, the entertainment was amazing. A group of greek musicians started with a set of listening music then after a short break moved to greek dance music. The audience were the dancers!! All ages both sexes took part and flooded the dance area with feeling. The event costs 16€ and a taxi was organized at 5€ per person. There was food and drink available at additional cost but very reasonable compared with the resort costs for food. Don't expect burgers here!, wholesome vegetarian food and organic greek wines are the menu! Today was the last of this group of events unfortunately but watch the posters and website for more. This was a tourist event but ran like a family evening together. Burgi is still a point of contact and the website is worth adding to your favourites while you are holidaying in the Peleponnese.|A word of caution if you do attend events, reserve a table and overdose with insect repellent. An adorable resort where my sister and I were made to feel exceptionally welcome, right from the very first availability enquiry. We arrived late to find they'd even prepared and set out refreshments for us.||||We had breakfasts and dinner here and every meal was well prepared, organic and deliciously wholesome. (Good buffet selection at breakfast and we'd a bean curry dinner) We all sat together for meals (the owners often joined too) giving a wonderful opportunity to know our neighbours and share recommendations on things to see and do. We'd have missed visiting what were our favourite days in Mani without the recommendations made by those at Sonnenlink. ||||||Our bungalow was well equipped and spacious. They have a good book selection to borrow from too. ||||Dagmar at the hotel kindly organised a horse riding trip for us locally and was on hand to help with anything else should we have needed it. i have traveled to many sweet lil' spots, especially to feel the sacred, the natural, the healing....manisonnenlink is at the very top of my experiences! the view takes my breath deeper each glance, the greens pop up all around the rocky hillsides just to spark me to be singing, the property: gardens, buildings and facilities are done with such intelligence, artistry and care. even more, the staff provides ad feeling of home, nourishment, safety for both being "in company" or time solo. the hikes, towns and tavernas, beaches, all within steps or short car rides are perfect additions too. working in the healing arts myself for over a decade, i could only give my highest recommendations to guets for whatever the purpose of...
