Ξενοδοχείο "ΙΛΑΚΙΑ" — Hotel in Municipality of Zacharo

Ilakia is an old mansion, that is recently divided in 4 very nice, luxurious apartments. It could be one of the most beautiful places i have ever stayed if it werent for some details that made our stay unpleasant. 1. The Aircondition worked for 2 out of the 10 days we stayed there. When it worked the air fell right on the bed and mafe noise. 2. I paid for B&B basis not for two toasts in the fridge... The water and the juice were never refilled. 3. The lighting of the room was on the wooden roof and the spot lights were directed on the bed, making it really uncomfortable to read or whatever. You need to walk to the main entrance to turn on/off the lights. Why?? They need to put portatifs. 4. Beautiful bathroom but nothing to prevent the water from falling everywhere in the bathroom. What an amazing stay! This wonderful traditional guest house which has been recently renovated from the ground up, consists of 5 separate rooms, each with its own entrance, bathroom, kitchen and fireplace. The wooden floors and high sealings with the exposed wooden beams in every room add to the coziness and the rustic feeling of the place, whilst the modern bathroom and amenities give a luxurious feeling to the place. As a family of four we spent a wonderful long weekend there and are truly looking forward to our next visit, which I have a feeling will be even longer, in order to have the time to explore the many surrounding sites...

Had a great two day stay here. I found the accommodation to be very nicely done and tasteful with everything you needed for a comfortable stay. I particularly enjoyed the outdoor seating area which is very private and peaceful. The small town was also very sweet and the taverna's were cheap and tasty and the mini markets provided for most needs. If you're planning on going to the beach from here it's a bit of a drive down the hill but not too bad but staying in the town and local area is good too with the neda waterfalls and temple of Apollo nearby they're both definitely...
