Stayed at the hotel with family during summertime. The hotel is pretty big and has a nice pool with a few sunbeds and a tennis and soccer courts that are pretty dated but good enough to spend some time. We stayed at one of the houses where there was a bed upstairs with toilet and another bed downstairs. Comfortable with all amenities. Some renovation is required though. Although our friends that lived in the main hotel building at rooms had a good cleaning service of the rooms daily, we saw this lacking at the house where we lived. No towels, no pillows etc. ||Hotel has a nice restaurant and very kind staff. However some days the service was far too slow and some dishes took hours to get served, with a company of 10 ppl, some had finished their dinner while others had to wait very patiently for food to get served. The garden sitting area is very nice. Breakfast was very nice and had a good selection of local products. ||The are is nice but the village where the hotel is located is so small that is not even considered a village with less than 10 houses in total. There is virtually no place to walk around in the evenings so after a day of excursions in the vicinity, staying inside the hotel is the only option. ||The area is good for mountain activities, rafting, hiking etc but there is a lot of driving to get to every one of these from where the hotel is located. Minimum half an hour drive on mountain roads to visit the various sightseeings advertised in the area, some of them are easily...
Read moreWe went beginning of June and nothing was working. Greed in its kingdom that we have only encountered in Greece. We called from the UK and asked them for a cheaper room and they said that they are fully booked and they said that they only had the chalet (more expensive option). We went there and there was NOT A SIGLE soul. No one , just us. They justified it that a group has cancelled ... My wife was gutted as she has booked this trip and we travelled from the UK to go there. She was injured and couldn't go trekking and she was planning to stay by the pool, do some sauna, eat at the restaurant but we arrive there and nothing was working - nothing but nothing. We arrived late in the evening and we had to go to another village to get some food. Around 22:00 we decided to leave but there was no one at reception so we could go as they were holding our deposit. We were gutted. This is not a 5 star hotel as it does not comply with the specifications.
Advice: 1) never book upfront in Greece when out of season 2) always read reviews beforehand 3) call and make sure that everything is operating and record this in writing or over audio 4) if they trick you like they did to us, stand your ground and ask...
Read moreI absolutely loved this place. It is the most relaxing stay I have ever had at a hotel. I visited with my wife and 4 kids. We went to Greece from the US and wanted to try something a little different than the typical tourist mobbed places, so we tried this place out. Glad we did. In addition to the beautiful hotel and the warm staff, good food, etc., I loved the fact that my daughters could run around and explore without worrying about traffic, weirdos, etc. They had an absolute blast swimming in the hotel pool, going horseback riding around the area, walking and swimming in the river, hiking up to the church at the top of the mountain (AMAZING view), and just enjoying the hotel. The only place that comes close in terms of relaxing was Disney World, where they cater to families, but the Princess Lanassa hotel was even more relaxing!! I would go back to Greece just to stay at this...
