Kavala Beach Hotel Apartments — Hotel in Paggaio Municipality

I had to make several phone calls to the mobile of the owner to ask if my reservation was valid. The reason to do this was an e-mail saying that my card had been declined.!! I had to contact also my bank to understand if there was a problem with my credit card. Obviously there was nothing, but no matter this my reservation wasn't confirmed, nieghter canceled and we remained for two days without a clear answer if we can start our travel or is better no. The only answer was "it might be, I am not sure, but you come, no problem". When I hear the phrase NO PROBLEM WOW lights on-there is something fishy. And obviously my sixth sense didn't lie. The hotel was fully booked, but they didn't want to admit and the idea was to accomodate us in a different hotel again their property. Which I didn't accept since the conditions didn't suit us at all.|Thanks to the fast reaction from Booking.com the answer was clear, that there wasn't free rooms, so luckily we didn't start and my credit card wasn't charged because we didn't go. Simply put, the owners are a total delight, nothing is too much trouble, they genuinely seem like they are there to make your stay wonderful. Location is perfect 5 mins stroll to the beautiful beach with bars restaurants and harbour. 5 min walk to a larger supermarket with everything you need. Swimming pool is great for the kids too. Having a little kitchen really helps out too, a quick trip to the supermarket and we were sorted for the week. Breakfast and lunch at the apartment then out to one of the many nice restaurants in the evening.||||We had 2 adults and 2 kids in a 2 room apartment and it can feel quite cramped, but we had 2 balconies so could enjoy a fab view and sit out at night. The kitchen could have a few more utensils, like a sharp knife, but really it was a god send with a family to be able to make a light lunch! As a change we stayed self catering but wanted a pool. The pool is lovely even if our weather was varied. Our kitchen area was very compact but we managed and enjoyed the fun. There is an easy walk to both the beach and restaurant and harbour area. We had a good boat trip to Thassos and drove round the island. ||Our rooms were clean, the sheets and towels changed regularly by more than enthusiastic staff. We were regularly given a little treat when sitting by the pool from the lady of the husband and wife team. ||Self catering is easy with a Lidl nearby. ||Certainly recommend and it looked like kitchen areas in end rooms were more spacious. ||We had lovely balcony overlooking pool and out to sea.
