Where do I start ??||Let's go with a little positive vibe:||Definitely ok for a family with kids of 3 to 7 maximum age group who want to get away for some guaranteed sun.||Be prepared though, as the amphitheatre (for kids entertainment) is on the other side of the car park away from the complex and looks to be an excessive concrete afterthought. It smells like its been built to cover the sewage waste area, resembles swampy damp wasteland, and has the mosquitoes to match.||In my opinion the British H & S executive would have a field day with sharp edges on very steep steps, a no go stage area, and only a gap of about 8 feet between the stage and the bottom concrete step, with a hard concrete floor for your kids to dance and bound around on. A bit precarious if you ask me and not somewhere you could sit comfortably knowing your kids are going to be safe from a trip or fall. I want to make it clear that there is no doubting the enthusiasm of the tui entertainment team in putting on a show in this area.||We booked 10 nights at the beginning of September and during this period of time the so called ADULT entertainment consisted of only 3 acts who repetitively sang the same songs, played jazz and eventually wore us down to the point where we were back in our room by 9.30 - 10 at the very latest. Again there's no doubting they are OK entertainers, but as this place is in the middle of nowhere, in the end we had to make our own fun entertainment by playing Jenga with the rock solid inedible kids "fish fingers" (I nicked 40) sorry kids !!! ...but it did save your mum n dad the expense of getting out the pepto bismol.||The only other quality entertainment and highlight of this holiday was unfortunately not until on our way back into Gatwick where from approximately 10 miles out, we got battered by 40 / 50 mph crosswinds and endured a bit of a roller coaster ride. I had to laugh as my wife's face was an absolute picture 😂 and I thought my luck was in when for the first time in 25 years she dug her beautifully manicured nails 6mm into my body. ||The all-inclusive cocktails were unfortunately already made up in bottles and possibly a few days old as there was zero fizz and they tasted of just "high sugar content" syrup water from a soda stream without any CO2, and matched up with a cheap alternative branded spirit they didn't exactly hit the spot until after approx 20 odd doubles, when they became paletable and acceptable ... just !! ||The All-inclusive beer was again slightly on the flat side and weak and I eventually treated ourselves, stupidly paying to have a bottled mythos @ €6 and a bottled corona @ €8, only to find it at the on-site shop @ €3.... Now I'm being mugged off here eh !!! ...€5 more for having it brought to me with a beer mat and wedge of lime stuck in its neck.||On our way to this remote resort from the airport (roughly 50 minutes / 1 hour) its clear to see that this arid dry landscape is awash with beautiful scenic olive groves but lacks an abundance of livestock. Pigs in particular we're noticeably missing and in short supply .... and then I realised why... there aren't any left in the country cos the poor buggers are constantly on the menu and on my frigging plate.... Bacon, Sausages, Bacon and Sausage a'la "what shall we conjure up today" with the past 2 days leftovers, Pork Chops, Pork Steaks (a fancy name for "Pork Chops") I'm not kidding, you could make flip flops out of these, run 3 London marathons, walk the sahara, and I swear you'd still have more wear and tear left in them than the very best "Clarkes" brand. Pork skewers, pork kebabs, pork in the yuk white wine sauce, pork in the yuk red wine sauce, anyway you get my drift. After getting maxed out on the pork for the first 3 days, I finished the final 7 days choosing the humble EGG as my source of protein in the morning and every breakfast I'd get fried eggs with toast and my everyday lunch and dinner had to consist of pizza and chips 🙄 ....erm excuse me !!!, but at my age, between 45 & 62 (got yer thinking eh !!) ...what the hell am I doing eating this junk food for ??? ...My cholesterol is now at an all time high and to top it all, now I'm home, I'm knocking back the bran flakes and prune juice to get the ol'gastrointestinal tract back in sync with my abused body.||Seriously poor food overall for a so called Tui 5 star rated hotel, but undeniable that people who are not as fortunate as me and have to use food banks to feed their family would be truly grateful.||Now I know I am trying to bring a bit of humour into this review and that's because deep down I'm disappointed with the whole experience.||We've had a rotten year, deaths in our family, illness / cancer in our family, and probably like most of you reading this, have all had bad life experiences as families to deal with and been touched by sad news.||This holiday felt an ideal way for us to deal with our own personal issues.||I thought the only people who have ever legally robbed me of my hard earned cash and got away with it was the inland revenue / HMRC.||Now I know the Greeks are beautiful, lovely people as we love Greece and have been to many places in the country many times.||I know the toilets in this place are pristine, smell great, beautifully presented and are clean enough to eat your abundance of pork off the floor 🤢.||I know that the restaurant staff are attentive,||and our room "The Junior Suite" was nice and a treat and WE BLOODY WELL DESERVED IT, But....||I'm NOT SORRY to say that a true and accurate evaluation on my part and based on our family holiday experience would be that this is nothing more than Misrepresentation in the Tui brochure, overpriced, and very over-rated.||I would say that it's Tui's idea of a Greek equivalent to a Butlins Bogner Regis, 2 - 3 stars at best and never in a million years a 5.||For young couples on their own, older couples on their own, and for people like us with a 16 year old young adult, I'd seriously advise you to go somewhere else in Greece as there is no doubting how fantastic this Country and their people are ❤.||Costing us £6.5K of my extremely hard earned cash and not worth anything like it, if Tui gave me back £3.5k 😂🤣😂 then I'd say it was nearer value for money.||Written in disappointment and...
Read moreLocation is set a nice, quite part of Greece with lovely beaches and a clean, warm sea. When booking, the rep made it quite clear that there really isn’t anything in the immediate area outside of the resort to do. The welcome meeting goes over all the trips and excursions you can do - most of which are within an hour away and travel to and from the resort is arranged by TUI. For those who you who complain that the resort is in the middle of no where, you’re right to an extent but you clearly didn’t go to the welcome meeting where it’s explained just how easy going out and about is! ||The resort is clean, tidy and the grounds are maintained to a very good standard. The staff are always busy cleaning and tidying. ||The rooms are nice, but you can tell they’re well used and in my opinion they’re due an updating before long. We chose a room with a hot tub which I really recommend if you have a children as once they’re in bed, you can chill out. The hot tubs are cleaned and maintained daily but bear in mind they take 5 hours to heat up, but once they’re at temperature they’re kept there so you can use them whenever you fancy. The housekeeping team are really friendly and efficient - the rooms are kept to a really good standard. However, our ‘double bed’ was just two single beds pushed together with separate blankets and the beds kept separating which was far from ideal. That said, it was quiet, comfortable and we all spelt well. ||The entertainment in the evening is good, mostly geared up for kids in the outdoor amphitheater and my nearly 4 year old really enjoyed it. The main bar often has some music in the evenings which is good.||The staff work hard to keep you and your family entertained with activities throughout the day well being organised and the staff give it their all. The staff adored my little girl and really put her at ease - to the point she was like a celebrity!! ||The pools are kept clean and tidy. However they were all quite cold! We went in late September so the weather was a bit cooler so maybe that made them feel cooler. Being able to order drinks to your sun bed around the pool via an app is a nice touch. However, it’s not the same app that is mentioned time and time again. The drinks come within minutes of ordering and the servers are all lovely. The beech for us was a highlight. Really clean and tidy, plenty of beds. Shame that the drink service doesn’t extend to the beach. We chose to hire one of the small gazebos for the day which can be done via reception. €35 well spent, although I imagine you’ll have to get in there quickly during peak times. You get waited on hand and foot and a bottle of sparkling wine and a fruit platter is served at a time of your choosing, after 13:00. | |There are a good selection of drinks available from the bars. The coffee is lovely which was nice in the mornings. The range of cocktails was extensive but I will note that they’re not made with consistency across the bars. Some of the bar staff miss out key elements to your drink. That said, when made correctly, they’re damn good! ||The food is an area for the resort to look to improve. The stalls around the pools were great, serving Ice cream, waffles, fruits and amazing crepes. The team there were great. The restaurants are all really clean and tidy. Empty plates and glasses are cleared very quickly. The breakfast is always the same with a large selection to choose from, not a bad thing as it’s nice to have consistency and whilst I was there there were quite a few different nationalities staying at the resort, all of which are catered for. Dinner in the main restaurant isn’t really something to write home about. It’s ok, but that’s about it. The selection is ok but it’s nearly always 75% the same. The same can be said for lunch. The Taverna’s selection wasn’t to my liking but the green and grill was nice. We were disappointed with the a la carte dinning. The food was very average. I struggled to see what type of food I was eating - the green and grill was the better of the two. They had bbq’s there but they weren’t being used! The taverna was average at best. I’m really unsure as to what they were trying to achieve with the menu. Compared to other TUI blue resorts I’ve visited, the a la carte restaurant’s food was poor. The service is good in both. My wife likes the sparkling wine which was served from the bars but I don’t get why it’s not served in the resturants, especially Taverna, where one of the bars is connected to it! I’ve seen some reviews about the cats.. I’m allergic to cats and don’t like them so I didn’t like that they’re roaming around the al la carte restaurants whilst I’m trying to eat; it’s not the most hygienic of things to have wild cats in a restaurant - although I can see how they come in handy if you ever need pest control! ||The Spa is really really good and great value for money. My wife had two treatments, both a neck, shoulder and back massage with one being in the spa and the other by the beach. I had a full body Swedish massage and it was up there with one of the best I’ve had.||There’s two small shops on site, and boutique which sells some lovely clothing and jewellery as well as a mini mart which sells a large verity of trinkets, souvenirs, food, drinks and toiletries. ||There is only one place to get towels. The lady on it was lovely but it was annoying that it was quite far into the resort and not near the family pool. There could be more toilets around the resort. They always seem a fair distance away, which is annoying when your child has a small bladder! The golf carts used by staff need to slow down! ||One thing I’d like to see if a dress code in all restaurants. We’ve been to other TUI blue resorts where it was in-forced and we liked it as some people seem to think it’s acceptable to go the dinner in clothes which are ever so slightly more formal than swimwear. ||We went off peak, and it was reasonably quiet. I can imagine it would be very busy during peak times. ||Overall, a good family holiday...
Read moreA relaxing stay with room for improvement
I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a very pleasant experience. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the people—whether staff or fellow guests—are genuinely friendly across all areas of the resort. It creates a warm and relaxed vibe that makes you feel at ease from the moment you arrive.
Highlights:
Activities: There’s a wide variety of well-organized activities to choose from, catering to different interests and age groups. Whether you're into sports, wellness, or entertainment, there's something for everyone. However all the entertainment is more focused on the kids than adults.
Food: The food was consistently tasty with a big range of options available. From local specialties to international dishes, the buffet choices were impressive. A bit limited wine range. During Greek evening there was no local Greek wine available.
Pool & Beach Comfort: One of the biggest positives was the availability of sunbeds. No matter what time of day you arrived at the pool or beach, there were always free loungers available—something that’s often a challenge at other resorts.
Areas for Improvement:
Smoking Zones: As a non-smoker, I found the lack of designated smoking areas frustrating. People were smoking freely on the beach and in café areas, which made it uncomfortable at times.
Outside Options: There’s not much to do outside the hotel if you want to explore or pop out for a change of scenery. It’s quite isolated, so you’re mostly reliant on what’s offered within the resort.
Late Checkout Experience: I had requested a late checkout three months before arrival and was told it was added to my booking. I stayed in touch with reception throughout my holiday, reminding them and following up several times. However, when the time came, I was simply told “no, it’s not possible” without any explanation or effort to check availability. What made this more frustrating was that at 4 PM, the room was still unoccupied, and no reason was given—such as cleaning staff shortage or high demand. This was not during high season, and the late checkout was important due to a night flight and a long drive home.
Departure Day Service: Mondays seem to be particularly busy with guest turnover. We waited 30 minutes for help with our luggage and ended up carrying it ourselves. It would be helpful if the hotel increased staffing on peak check-in/check-out days.
Transfer to Airport (iTUI): The transfer experience was unacceptable. After being picked up from the hotel by van, we were dropped off in the middle of a busy street near Nea Moudania around 9 PM, with no information on how long we would be waiting. The area was poorly lit and full of traffic, raising serious safety concerns. After 45 minutes, a bus finally arrived, and we had to load our luggage from the street side while cars were constantly driving past. If someone had been hit, who would have taken responsibility? This part of the journey was chaotic and poorly managed.
Final Thoughts: This hotel is a great place for a relaxing holiday, especially if you’re looking to stay within the resort and enjoy its amenities, and if you have children. However, it seems the focus is more on impressing new arrivals than ensuring departing guests leave with a lasting positive impression. A few adjustments in service, guest care, and coordination with transfer providers would make a big difference. UPDATE after Hotel Management reply related to the activities around the hotel as I think there's a small misunderstanding. By there's not much to do outside of the hotel I didn't mean places within 15-20' driving distance or organised by TUI. My husband and I organised few activities by ourselves. I meant more that when leaving the hotel, abd going by walk, there is not much to do. We went out by walk to check the area. Hence the reason for the above feedback...
