Happinest Treehouse — Hotel in South Pilio Municipality

Vida and Vito gave us a very warm welcome after our ferry journey from Skiathos. The garden around the treehouse is a stunning mix of Mediterranean and Tropical plants and full of birds.

The weather was not ideal this October but it is a very sheltered location and didn't get cold at night. We timed our visit for when the Treehouse was free and were not disappointed. Vida put a warm quilt on the bed and we were very cosy.

Although quite cloudy and cool for the time of year, the sea was warm, clear and calm and our hosts were kind enough to let us use their kayaks.

The outside kitchen is incredibly well equipped and put together. The bed is comfortable, well screened from mozzies and has the best view. Loved having outside hot showers. While very comfortable and practical, this accommodation might best suit campers and people who are ok with steps and rock paths. Though this is definitely luxurious accommodation and the treehouse is absolutely beautiful.

Vida is very responsive to messages but we also had our privacy. We only met the dogs briefly but enjoyed enthusiastic cuddles with the friendliest cat.

We already loved the area. Milina has developed a bit more and the supermarkets were better stocked. We were able to get a vegan meal there for my partner. As the treehouse was so great, we didn't go out much but walked up to ancient Olizon, drove to Kottes and visited Tzatseni beach. All nice things to do and we hardly saw another person except a few people bringing in their Olive harvests.

It's like staying in a private, beautifully curated botanical garden... next to a calm beach... where time slows by! When we were researching the place we could never have imagined that the real thing would have exceeded our dreams for deep rest in such an authentic way. Our four day relaxing stay felt a lot longer, a truly unique experience of how life should really be. The two wonderful hosts, Vito and Vida, have created a small slice of paradise and we are lucky enough they decided to share! They were there whenever we needed them without even knowing they were there, such a rare quality! We thank them from our hearts, it felt like a precious gift.

The Happinest Treehouse is the most extraordinary spot. The room is wonderful. The bed and the bedding are luxurious. The view is fabulous. And on top of all that, the garden which surrounds the property is Eden-like. Magical, mesmerising and magnificent. Walk through the extensive garden and rest your gaze on animal sculptures - witty, beautiful and surprising - integrated with the fabulous planting. If it was a Chelsea Flower Show Garden, it would be a Gold Medal winner. But it's better here, in the south Pelion. Because it's real. It's authentic. As are the hosts.
