Hotel Green Resort — Hotel in Chimaltenango

When I made the reservation for four rooms, I was never told what they would be like, and upon arrival—surprise—they were nothing like the photos. We were put in rooms that were mold-infested, dirty, and had a strong musty smell that they tried to cover up with air fresheners. There were mouse droppings, insects, and the rooms were not only poorly built but also filthy. The “administrator’s” service is terrible because she’s not even on-site—everything is handled by phone or WhatsApp. She is rude and didn’t solve our issue. They make you pay before entering the rooms and then won’t refund your money even if you complain about the conditions. The place looks abandoned, and it seems they are illegally keeping wild animals (deer, monkeys, macaws) in captivity and in poor conditions.

————————— Cuando realicé la reserva de cuatro habitaciones, en ningún momento se me informó sobre sus condiciones reales. Al llegar, nos llevamos una desagradable sorpresa: las habitaciones no correspondían en absoluto con las fotos publicadas. Nos asignaron espacios en mal estado, impregnados de moho, con fuerte olor a humedad disfrazado con aromatizantes, sucios, con presencia de excremento de roedor e insectos. Además de estar mal construidas, las habitaciones claramente no habían sido aseadas.

La atención por parte de la supuesta administradora fue pésima. No se encuentra en el lugar y todo se maneja por llamadas o mensajes de WhatsApp. Fue grosera y no ofreció ninguna solución a los problemas que presentamos.

Exigen el pago completo antes de ingresar a las habitaciones y, una vez hecho, se niegan a reembolsar el dinero pese a las condiciones inaceptables del sitio.

This place was absolutely horrible. Tied up monkeys. Caged parrots. Has not been kept up in years. The place looked like a creepy abandoned hotel from a scary movie. The staff is stand offish. Quite an amazing place, you really wouldn't expect to find a hotel like this in the area, the road to get there is pretty bad, but it's definitely an interesting location to stay at, ask about the zoo area... yes that's a baby deer sleeping 6 feet from my door, it was completely safe and content...
