I had one of the rooms with a private bath, they are upstairs, hammock and a chair with a table on the veranda. Yes, walls und ceiling are light materials and you hear your neighbour nextdoor, but that's how the air can go through. The best is, it is just on the only little beach, there are no real beaches around. So no long beach walks, because their beach is clean, the others are not! Nevertheless it is worth while to take the walk to the Seven Altars, a series of small waterfalls, not spectacular, but the guy, who sells the entrance tickets at his small restaurant is - a real Garifuna!||Better eat at the Salvador Gaviota, their food is really good, especially their Tapado, a sort of Caribbean Bouillabaisse, even better than many I have eaten in France!||WiFi works and the staff is very helpful, but should keep it up, because they forgot to make my room the day I was there.||There is a nice wooden tower at the end of a long bridge into the sea, where you can dwell in your hammock upstairs and enjoy the look. A good place to relax if you can do...
Read moreCleanest beach in livingston. Cleaner than playa blanca. Every morning they scour the beach for trash and what the tide brings in. Only hotel that has it's own decent beach. Alk of the beautiful tourists go there to sunbath. Water is clean. Bring good sunscreen very strong sun. The cabins are rustic but we'll done. Netting all around the cabins structure. Beds are semi comfortable but clean. Bathrooms are clean. Spacious rooms for all price levels. We took two 4 bed rooms. Geckos crawl around the ceiling which iis cool. Bring heavy deet as you will get mosquito bites. The provide an anti mosquito incense. Good bar. Restaurant is crazy crazy slow and they will forget your drinks. Staff is awesome but it will be 45 minutes before you eat. Just go swimming. Avoid the hamburger and sandwiches. They are gross. Their salads and chicken are divine. The food is expensive. Bring healthy snacks to avoid lunch there if you can as it is $10 lunch per person easy. All in all, we will definitely return but bring a lot of...

But the main reason I'd recommend this hotel is because of the helpful owner/staff. They went above and beyond in many ways, but the nicest thing they did for us was to have one of the workers go to Puerto Barrios (almost an hour away by boat) for us to buy ear drops for my daughter's ear infection, after we found out the pharmacies in Livingston didn't have the medication. So kind...
