This hotel was actually built as an apartment complex, however when the rooms couldn't be rented they started renting them out as hotel rooms. Because of that the rooms are like apartment rooms. Ours was a two bedroom place, with kitchen and dining area. One of the others in our group had a studio apartment-like room. ||||In all cases the rooms were huge, very new, very clean, with all modern amenities. Beautiful bathrooms and showers. These were the cleanest and nicest rooms we stayed at, in all of Guatemala. The two bedroom was $50/400Q per night. It had 3 double beds and 1 bath. We stayed 2 nights.||||There was free WiFi in the room. Breakfast was not included and was only available Monday thru Saturday.||||It's a little hard to find this place particularly at night. Tell people it is next to the CDAG building and the Estadio Joyabaj. It's entrance is a huge metal gate with the name of the hotel on the gate.||||The main downside was that it was far from the town center and any restaurants. We always took a car to the local restaurants. It's probably a minimum of 6 blocks to any restaurant and 12 blocks to the town center. It is however only a couple blocks from the main bus station.||||If you were staying for any length of time here, this would be the place to stay. We did notice some long term "tourists" here. I would...
Read moreOur missions team stayed in this hotel in Santa Cruz del Quiche. It was our first time to the area or even to the country and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice the accommodations were. The rooms were quite clean and taken care of on a daily basis. They were fairly large, at least the ones we stayed in and quite comfortable. There are no airconditioners but they are not needed as the elevation in Santa Cruz is high enough that it never really gets higher than 80 degrees during the day and cools off very quickly in the evening. While we did not need it the front desk area had supplies of various things usually needed for travel. The hotel is surrounded by a security wall and accessed by a solid steel hydraulic gate so we felt quite comfortable as far as security and safety and never had a time were we ever felt any of that was compromised. The hotel did have WiFi which worked in most rooms but it seemed there was one room that had a hard time connecting. But overall we were extremely happy with the hotel, which I feel was very nice for the area, even by our spoiled...
