We booked a night at this hotel. We arrived easily as it's close to Santa Cruz's downtown. The rooms were ok, don't expect a fancy room, but don't expect neither an old hotel... Many people visit this hotel because when you do, you get a discount at the Zoo entrance's (which is absolutely a great place to visit in Sta Cruz). That was not our case, but the frontdesk lady offered us our discount anyway..too bad we had no time for the zoo.||||I had a good time with my older son at the pool, which is a nice place to relax.||||The cleaning lady was very nice and always helped me with my room card... couldn't open the door as easy as other card-locked hotels. However I will say that when I asked for some ice at the frontdesk, I was directed to buy it from a house across the street. Which I did. So if you're the type of person that's looking for a 100% comfy experience, think it twice. The hotel has no kitchen, you can order your food (call from your phone 'cause the room phone was not working) or walk and try to find something good...

Having an outdoor pool was an extravagance, but we surely enjoyed it. The staff were more than helpful, even helping us to carry our bags and cases of water each day. At the moment, we could not park in the interior parking lot, since the street in being done over...
