The area is about 20 minute drive (about USD20 by taxi) out of La Ceiba, right on the beach. It was meditative watching the waves in the morning and I loved my afternoon at the Sambo Creek Garifuna Village 10 walk away.||||However, I was the only guest and it was hauntingly quiet. Unlike what is said on tripadvisor, there was no hot water, no wifi and no activities that you can arrange. I was pretty much left to the domestic help with little explanation about my surroundings and other essentials (eg general arrangements such as when the help arrives in the morning to make breakfast). Food is expensive, I was charged USD15 for lunch which was grilled fish and baked potato on the patio.||||It's not a bad place but it would help having your own vehicle and be prepared to arrange your own activities and to explore the area on your own.||||Also check out Hotel Helens 2 doors away that is significantly cheaper and has a full service bar and restaurant, and a very helpful bartender who offered to arrange...
Read moreStayed here for 5 nights and this place is paradise. The room was very clean and very spacious with all the amenities including TV, internet, air conditioning, etc. I elected the owners to prepare several meals for me and all were excellent. The sandy beach is right there and the pool is refreshing. I was looking for a relaxing vacation and am glad I stayed here. I really enjoyed lounging under the palapa and where I took most of my meals. I also spent hours boogie boarding and paddle boarding in the ocean. I also walked the beach to Sambo Creek and grabbed some snacks and a beer. I walked the road back to the resort and some amazing views of the lagoon and banana trees. My vacation was too short and look forward to coming back very soon to experience Cayos Cochinos and the Hot Springs. Thank you Cas and Tommy and Paradise Found for your hospitality and your...
Read moreParadise Found is an amazing place to experience the beauty and nature of Honduras. Cas and Tommy are the best hosts and now I am happy to call them friends. I visited Costa Rica earlier this year and I have to say that Honduras has at least as much to offer in natural beauty and outdoor activities. My friends and I spent the week paddle boarding, kayaking, boogie boarding, snorkeling and hiking to name a few activities. We also dined on amazing food catered to our tastes by Tommy and Cas. I will definitely be back to visit my new friends and to explore more of the beauty to be found...
