Liquidambar Hotel... Wow... It's one of those places that are perfect if you love nature and silence.

Masterfully settled on a ridge, it welcomes you with an astonishing view of the valley and the mountains.

Let's be clear. This place is not for everyone. There are only 4 rooms available (3 rooms and 1 suite). Which is, in my opinion, one of its greatest advantages. It serves as a little hidden retreat.

The bar is moderately sorted. The strong point here, is the delicious and in-place brewed beer, which changes from time to time, ranging from IPAs to Porters, and wheat beers.

Also the hotel is built in a coffee plantation, which means you'll have access to a great sample of, what's considered, the best coffee in Honduras.

Also, the hotel produces it's own goat milk, cheese and dulce de leche.

The activities include tours and samples of the processes involved in creating the products mentioned above. But it wouldn't surprise me to see some thrill-seeking adventurers being bored after one night. This makes this hotel, the perfect overnight stop in a roadtrip.

Food can be both fabulous and a disappointment. The ribs are finger-licking good. Just be sure they have some sauce for your wings before you order them. Also, if you don't drink coffee, bring your tea bags along.

Both the staff (Including David, the manager) and Arturo the owner, are delightful people, who give you a warm welcome, and a wonderful experience. I'm sure they are able to point in the direction of more things to do in the area.

Great experience. I will definitely...

I found this place through a MWR trip from Soto Cano Air Base. It was very intimate and is a very good location if you want to disconnect from the city. The views are beautiful. There is one restaurant on site and they have plenty of options and the food is fantastic. They also have a bar and they have beer that is made in-house and it’s amazing. We got to meet the owner and he also grows and sells his own coffee and I was able to buy some bags before we left. David was a great host and was very accommodating to our needs. It is quite isolated so I do recommend on brining your own...

Went for the coffee tour. The owner Arturo showed us around the grounds and was great at explaining the process from the plant to roasting to the final product. He was super knowledgeable answering all our questions about coffee making. The grounds are beautiful and there is a bar and brewery on site too. You can also see the goats in the back. Would highly recommend a visit and even an overnight stay...
