We rented a house.||||We actually found this place on Airbnb. We were looking for a house not a hotel or resort. But this came up as the nicest house available in the area. The house sleeps like 14 people in four or five bedrooms. It has its own pool, kitchen, parking... It's a house. The listing said that it had a washing machine, but it didn't, but we found some senoritas to wash our clothes for ten bucks. The house itself was wonderful, clean and functioning. The pool was clean. The kids played in that pool all day all week and had a great time.||||The facility is on the beach. The resort has its own private beach. The beach, however, is nasty. The beach is covered with trash. The resort hires a dude to clean up the trash. He's out there every day. We also saw some drunk tourists going into the ocean with beer bottles so don't walk around barefoot. ||||The resort facility is nice. It has two pools that wrap around a central area. The central area is where you check in, and it also has a restaurant and a covered seating/party area. It's a very attractive area.||||The surrounding area is a quiet little town. There is a large grocery store about a two minute drive away which was nice for us because we had a kitchen in our house. If you're not from Honduras, then I strongly encourage you to try the local foods. Honduran tacos are unique and unbelievably delicious as are other dishes. Make sure you're sitting down when you eat a breakfast baleada. ||||There is an issue with noise. The listing said that parties and loud music is prohibited. That just applies to the guests. The resort itself had a party one day. It started in the afternoon and went until after 10 p.m. with loud music from a DJ. Their party area is outdoors, and it was very loud. There is a community right next door. ||||Except for the noise, our family had...
Read moreOk so everyone was very friendly excellent service, excellent food. Large pools and beach areas. The hotel I went to did have a shared pool which was nice and the room was rather small and the air conditioner took awhile to get the room cold. The TV was really old. The main issue with this place was they need to finish the hotel I was in because of was like you're relaxing and the place is falling apart and needs paint and maintenance. When I was there they had few workers at my outside the hotel working on the area which would be good not when I'm there relaxing a paying for the hotel and you have workers in and out of your suite area and the guy is painting chipping a fence and you smell paint the guy making banging noise on your vacation and trying to relax. The pools really need maintenance on the floors paints chipping off ruins the experience. It's like a south east Asia vibe there. Overall the hotels and pools need work. Everything else was good. Like I go into the pool and it's filled with bugs, this place could be really great I wish I could fix this place.I wouldn't recommend until they fix the pools and cleanup alot of the areas. Another thing is you're trying to eat and there's wild dogs and cats coming up to you for food. That's annoying and really sad. Need to put some money into the place can be...
Read moreCalling this place a hotel is more of a misunderstanding of what a hotel truly is. From my perspective, it is a restaurant with pools, which happens to be by the sea. The rooms feel like an afterthought, and their quality is poor. Dirty walls, lots of holes, and an overall feeling like being in a detention center. The biggest issue, however, is the constant noise from the plumbing and the walls. Every flush or shower usage gives you a unique acoustic experience lasting 15-30 minutes. You won’t get much sleep. For me, the quality is low, and it certainly doesn’t...
