Hotel Costa Azul Faro Marejada — Hotel in Puerto Cortés

This hotel is very expensive for Honduran standards and the management does not care about guests. Our room flooded when the toilet started shooting water from the back reservoir. We woke up to several centimeters of water throughout the entire room. The management seemed unalarmed and waited over an hour to have it cleaned up. Also, there was a great deal of water on the stairs indoors and I fell and hurt my arm very badly. I sustained a black bruise the size of a deck of cards. The management did nothing to rectify the situation and acted like it was my fault for falling. My order of chicken fingers from the restaurant was partially raw and the breakfast was very limited. I have never written a negative review before, but honestly do not waste your money here. I am disgusted...

Getting there is sort of scary if you're not on an all-terrain vehicle. Gravel pathways full of mud and ponds have such a deterrent effect on us sedan drivers. Any way we got there... facilities have been neglected proper maintenance levels that make you hesitate. Still insisted on spending the day there... we had already passed the puddles of mud... |Swimming pools convinced me to remain dry. Maybe I'm too demanding for local standards but I need to see clean waters and this pool was muddy so I decided to save the $7 they charge to get on the pool.|Food was OK, not fast that's for sure... but at least edible, the prices are a bit high for what you get... the beach is dirty with all residues brought back by the tides... |Certainly not a place I'd...

Pool was so green! I refused to put anything other than my feet into it. Staff was very nice and accommodating! Every morning there was a breakfast event for church so the service was slow and coffee was not really accommodating in small 4 -6 oz styrofoam cups, not really hot. At the end of our visit to pay for a day of food and drink for me only they charged me double bc I reported my own food/drink to the receptionist and then the server reported as well.
